Hi all! Was just randomly scouring Ebay for nice TF Movie figure deals when I came across a ROTF HA Mudflap listed at $135. I'm just curious as to why the price shot up on this item, as I never recalled it being rare.

EDIT: Now that I've done more Ebay searching, I see Human Alliance characters besides Mudflap hitting high prices. Any reason for that? I understand they were desirable to an extent, but $135?

Mudflap was always ellusive. He shipped with the 15th or so iteration/reissue of HA Bumblebee and many people wanting him to accompany Skids.

Mudflap and Barricade were insanely expensive at first.

Probably because many people passed on him the first time. Couple that with the fact that HA is probably the definitive/best version of Mudflap we'll ever see ( judging by the DOTM line and what we've seen of AOE) means his price shoots up.

Same thing happened to ROTF Leader Megatron and even '07 Premium Leader Megatron.

No. No. Just no. I've been trying to sell that figure for over a year at 20-25 USD and nobody's biting.

    No. :p

Oh really? I thought the stock version was impossible to get rid of, and the premium one was more sought after.

But ROTF Leader Megs is pricey. I think.

Yeah, HA Mudflap was totally rare (especially at first). I remember the first one I saw was in a display case at Botcon 2010 and having to explain to the Hasbro reps that it was impossible to find (and at that point I had searched for it in 3 states in conjunction with my summer travels). They were pretty dumbfounded at that; I think they take their own saturation projections at face value and must never check the toy aisles themselves. It apparently was easier to find in Canada, and I ended up getting mine through a trade with a Canadian Allsparker for one of my Botcon Sharkticons (I had only ever intended to keep one of them). There were some reports of Mudflap showing up in TJMaxx and related places a year later, but I don't know that I ever saw one myself.

    Ebay:
    Mudflap IS expensive.

I got him when the price was $50.

I only seen him in the wild ONCE, and it was on clearance at target for $12 but I wasn't collecting HAs at the time..uugghh.

ANYWAY...I LOVE HA mudflap. I would not pay over $50-$60 for it..its worth every penny of that if you ask me.

There have been very few figures that I've never seen on store shelves, and HA Mudflap is one of them. I had to resort to eBay for mine.

Considering they KO's bee and sideswipe (and now Jazz too I think?) you'd think they would get round to pumping out mudflaps.

I owned incomplete HA Skids and I now regret selling it as finding a complete one with missle/human/bike is a right ballache.

i saw one at HEB in Texas. then he hit Ross for the holidays and at one point there were 15 of them, and i thought "there's where they've all been, he'll never sell for a lot again." thankfully i bought one extra that i sold for about $120 on ebay. now i wish i'd picked up all 15 to resell and trade.

He was in the last wave of the RotF Human Alliance figures, as I recall, so he suffered the same fate as the Red Rampage and Evac wave of deluxes. Barely showed up at any retail stores at all, and only ever heard a couple reports of him hitting TJ Maxx.

I remembered finding a shop in NYC selling about 5 of them at $25 a piece, though about two or three years ago. Didn't pick him up, because it was before I was collecting HA's, and I could kick myself ever since. First and last time I ever saw him in person.

I'd love to catch up on a few Human Alliance figures but not at their current prices. I was absolutely hooked up with a legit HA Jazz and HA Barricade. No way I can get a complete HA Mudflap and HA Skids at their inflated "value."

As others have said, HA Mudflap was released towards the end of the ROTF Toyline as a result, was extremely difficult to find the in US (I might have seen him once in retail, I not sure). I got lucky, and found someone selling him on amazon two years ago for $39.99 (about $45 with shipping added) when I randomly looked up HA Mudflap. If you can find Mudflap for a decent priced, he is well worth it.

I'm pretty sure it was only the black repaint that went for big bucks.

I got mine at Tj max. I think it was like $12. I'd check his box, but its in the attic. He was one the toughest tfs I've found at retail.

HA Mudflap surprisingly is difficult to find or else it is very expensive.
