Did Max PM you yet? Let me know about a possible meet/ pass it on to someone closer to me. Or let me know if we'll have to ship it and how much.

    Ebay:
Tacoma Fred Meyer - BH Legion wave with Rippersnapper. Had a ton of Rippersnapper, Blight, Windrazor, and Air Vehicons.

Tacoma TRU - Kreon Customizers sets (only saw Soundwave, Ironhide, and Starscream)

Tacoma Target - Bumblebee and Blight Predacons Rising packs.

Tumwater Wal-Mart - Construct-Bots Optimus, Megatron, and Hound.

I'd post pictures but I need to be lesson planning for tomorrow, urgh.

I don't think we can blame either Hasbro or TRU for anyone not getting MP Soundwave, it was up on TRU.com repeatedly, with one day I remember a good 8+ hours. The problem now is that he's gone, you're about two months too late if you're just now wanting one. Can't blame the retailer/manufacturer if you show up after store hours and want one, this is no different. Hell I had/bought 4 without even trying. All went to boardies too.

I have to agree about Soundwave. He was much easier than Optimus. I think I had access to about 5 of these. A few were for me, others for boardies. With that being said I never actually saw it in store. The online availability was great though.

Really? Because some dedicated toy hunters, who are willing and able to hunt each area TRU, some of them literally every day at opening, have seen them (and then BOUGHT them) in the stores... the rest of us are just lazy and late to the party? Because someone knew a guy/s who had them for his buddies x5, those who didn't have such contacts are really just being inattentive?

Come on. Every time there's a notice that Soundwave is on the web site, I go check, and he's already gone. Every time a store gets one, he's long gone before I get there. The only reason I have one is because someone at CybCon was kind enough to sell him to me before the crowds got too big. I've since been on the hunt, AND ASKING, to find one for my son, who desperately wants one. His time is being well spent at UW at the moment, so can't go out hunting on his own.

But there are many, MANY people on this board who have two, three, a few with FOUR MP Soundwaves (one in the box, two on the shelf (one for each mode) and one to actually play with or at work)... yet there are huge fans who've never seen them in the store or been fast enough to get them online... we're really just slackers.

Whatever, dude. Fact is, TRU screwed up AGAIN, just like they did with Optimus. I knew that they would, but hoped that they wouldn't. I hope beyond hope that they realize their mistake and place another order with Hasbro soon, so that less hard-core collectors out there actually have a chance. I haven't even mentioned the died in the wool SCALPERS out there, who have made the problem even worse.

So yeah... easier than Optimus? Maybe... but since I never saw EITHER in the stores, to me, it's no different. Given the popularity of Soundwave, I expect his prices to soar even more than Optimus' what... third or fourth MP version?

And finally.... If anyone has a lead on a Hasbro MP Soundwave, complete (opened is fine, so long as it's not missing pieces or busted up), at or near original MSRP (I don't feed scalpers), please let me know.

    Thanks.
    -Greg

Not ruin your rant, but there are like 15 different transformer groups on Facebook with people selling tru MP soundwaves like they are going out of style. I also dont know a "hard core" collector who can't get what they want if they are so "hard core." Kinda like a hard core basket ball player who can't dribble

shooot...I even came across a soundwave once. Wasn't even looking for one since I'm sticking with the Takara version. I did leave it on the pegs since most ppl I buy/trade with already had one.

Please feel free to share. I literally just asked for leads, and you tease me instead.

And not to ruin your excellent rebuttal, but how many of those people are selling them anywhere near cost, rather than with a $50+ markup?

And finally, you made my point about hard core collectors. I'm NOT a hard core collector, otherwise I'd have 4, just like my example. I'm a fan, and a collector, and I want to get my son a toy he would really like to have, without perpetuating an aftermarket demand created by those who profiteer by adding another layer of middle-men to the chain.

While I do agree that SW was handled better than Prime thanks to being available online on a couple occasions, I wouldn't say it was handled well or say it's any individuals fault over Hasbro or TRUs if you want to get it at retail cost and couldn't yet. He was available online sporadically when it was first released, and if your experience was like mine, it didn't matter if you were online when it happened- a lot of times it would disappear from your cart or not allow you to check out. When it was finally online for a good chunk of time, it was way after the point most people stopped monitoring it. I never saw it at retail and felt lucky to get it online, so I wouldn't say "goodwork" to Hasbro or TRU over it.

    Here are 6 to start

Transformer collecting trade, buying and selling

    Transformer chat/trade/buy fan page

Action figure and toy buy, sale and trade group

    Transformer exchange buy,sell,trade

    Transformer masterpiece collectors group

    The cybertronian group

    Transformers rule

I have seen many actually killer deals on these sights that aren't marked worse case you gotta buy sw and cassettes separately but may even save that way to.

I'm not a hard core collector but without a lot of effort I got 3.

I ordered two online just by paying attention to this site and our Facebook group, I also drove 45 minutes away to pick up two more just by using my telephone to call a store. But please, rant harder over your persecution complex because I claimed Soundwave was not mishandled like Optimus. Use more words like "slacker" and "lazy" to twist what I said to pretend I insulted you. This definitely encourages people to hook you up when they find figures you need and totally doesn't make you look like an entitled manchild.

I'm sure Greg is just speaking out of frustration, which is certainly understandable. TRU doesn't seem to want to order these items in sufficient quantities to ensure saturation (probably to avoid the risk of having $100 items sitting on shelves for months), so people who don't have the luxury of checking Facebook and websites regularly at work are going to miss out. I'm a little frustrated for him and all the other fans who are more casual that being very dedicated in the hunt is necessary at times. I guess that's just how the game is sometimes, and some people love it while others don't.

I'm sure we all sound like children with first-world problems when we rant about toys, and aren't we all entitled to that at times? :)

Before I post in the wanted forum I figured I should try here. I'm gonna start watching Armada with my daughter soon and I want to grab the on screen characters. My friend in Georgia is giving me his collection but he only collected Deceptions. So does anybody have the on screen Armada Autobots? Trying to see what prices are.

man, i have a good chunk of them and would love to sell them off. I'd certainly do a decent deal for a Washingtoner ~ i usually looka at the last 5-7 or so ebay sells and work out an average. and would do a deal on a bulk buy.

I def have Big and small Primes, Jetfire, Smokescreen, Hoist, Powerlinx Hotshot, Red Alert, Hoist, Blurr and lots and lots of minicons...

Pretty much all of the on-screen guys except Scavanger and Laserbeak, and those molds were T E R R I B L E

there's ordering too many, and there's the fact i haven't seen a MP at retail since they went TrU exclusive except Thundercracker... I think it's a bit odd they (apparently) haven't done 2nd runs of Grimlock and the Primes...
