Are all the robots going to look like shit in this movie . They need to hunt down the guys that made Prime and Bee look like that , WTF were they thinking . Glade I wont be buying them when they come out . More money for Master Piece figures I guess .

I told you guys the movie looks would be just as complicated and in some cases, even more complicated lol. I bet not very many thought by not having a lot of car parts shown, that the designs could get even more complicated? And now you also see the reason why the toys are getting more simplified. There is just no way to take the plastic car parts and make them bend and morph to look 100% like the movie looks. So you either end up with a lot of shell formers where car parts will tuck into hollowed out legs and chests or in the case of leader OP, you end up with a full kibble back pack.

Looks very very cool! I think this may be the earlier Camaro design for Bee. It looks to have a lot of darker parts :)

And to think I once thought the original movie's character designs couldn't be any more ******ed.

Sounds like Beast Machines/Beast Wars Neo all over again in some ways. And I've grown pretty fond of the original trilogy 'Bee. Still, I wonder if the changes will be addressed in the story itself.

Bet I know who is voicing Cliffjumper if he's in the film.

It won't be Casey Kasem, unfortunately...

I highly doubt this is bee as I think the clapper board robots are those multi-colred cars seen with their master, the Freightliner (they're possibly extra Stunticons or Vehicons). I say this becuase they seem too generic and are Different colors which would suggest they are a sub-army of Cybertronians.

Im not really sure about this. Looks too Prime like. However, again, its just a blurry picture, nothing that you can really base an opinion on.

Are we sure this movie is not taking place in the future? Bumblebee just took a huge evolutionary change, Lol.

The new designs look like they got tired of Earth modes and went back to their former Cybertronian roots. I'm not sure if I like it or hate it yet, I first need to see how the Camaro is going to transform into that.

been said that the movie is set 4 years after DOTM. so its not that far into the future. but merely real life time (with one year extra. as in real life it been 3 years when film is released)

I'll reserve real judgement until I've seen the clear final design (and more importantly seen him in action)- but at this point BB is look an aweful lot to me like Megatron's design from the first movie painted yellow and given a little more definition (I'm not saying he is Megatron- just has that same run through a paper shredder look). While I did warm to Megatron's first movie design a bit over time I always thought it was one of the worst designs we got (at least prior to Mudflap and Skids faces).

I don't think I like the basic design and I'm sure the toy will be worse.

But time will tell, I haven't seen it clearly enough to be sure of anything.

I think it looks pretty cool too. I get a major TFP vibe from it.

But, like it's been said, these designs plus less complex toys is going to end up extremely bad for those of us who were hoping for an accurate toy line.

I sort of think yes and no on the figures: yes it would be next to impossible to engineer figures that transform exactly like their onscreen counterparts, but then only a small number of figures from the last three movies (and from TFP for that matter) came close to doing that. And as Tonyformer says:

Which actually I don't mind too much - as long as the alt modes are accurate enough and the bot modes are recognisable I'll be happy. A few extra bits of kibble that the screen versions simple just don't have at all are preferable to false kibble resulting in the same vehicle part being on the bot mode twice like some of the ROTF/DOTM/Prime figures had.
