Hooray, they're confirmed deluxe pricepoint! I'd had it in my head that they might've been marked up to BW 10th Anniversary cost.

<3 Jarodimus, but I'd caution that it's a potentially pointless line of discussion that often leads into semantic drivel like "Well I'm just saying that in my opinion their taste isn't good in my view" and "yeah well in my opinion it's my view that your view of my view is trite and scatterbrained".

I like what I like, because they're the best.

Besides, I know my opinion's the most awesome. :D

they're ok. i dont know if i'll pick them up, but i'm glad to see the transformer toys are still coming out even in 2007. as a kid back in '85 i never would have imagined that in 2007 we'd still have transformers.

    and

    and

    continuing:

Sometimes I wonder if ppl just say they're crap b/c its the "cool" thinkg to do. I give props to any one that stands up for what they like in a sea of bullshit. Me I like these figures some. Yeah, they have downfalls but I think if they could have used that robot mode for SS in the flic, then that would have been better then having striet legs coming to Earth & then forming into a monkey stance once scanned and re-formed. I'm probably the only one that likes his 1st design better then his recent (even know its the same with shorter hand/guns, they just didnt bend his legs the same in the new toy pics as the 1st one) toy shots. I thought the 1st design sucked at first, but then it grew on me. As well as all the other designs.

    and kudo's for this ricprime:

Wow, looks like BW Silverbolt is getting his chance to play Prime for a while. Meanwhile Cheetor is in some dark corner pouting because he was passed over with the matrix yet again.

I like Prime and Starscream, although I hate Prime's altmode. Starscream's looks like a dropship to me; he'll be great as a random Decepticon (though he'll lose the gun). I'll only pick them up if they appear for 8-10 euro's in store, though. I am NOT paying 15-20 euro's for them, because 'certain' import stores are too damn greedy for their own good.

I still think these look OK for preview figures, and on the concept of the movie work waaaay better than SW's preview figures from the past.

As Transformers go, they're very simple, but as preview toys they're cool.

And count me among those who see homages in these figures to past OPs and SSs... there are few hints to previous incarnations of both characters, but they're are there ... whether it was intentional or not. (IMHO, it was intentional)

The statement about being discerning is about me, not about the people that disagree. I can be as vocal as I like about my opinions as long as I am not crude.

If a design, in my opinion, is lacking I'm going to say it.

If I feel like pointing out that some people will buy anything with a faction symbol on it, I will point it out.

Welcome to life. Sometimes you'll meet people who care enough about something to defend its integrity with statements that not everyone will agree with.

Actually, I think these things would look VERY good with G1-inspired paintjobs (ECSPECIALLY Prime).

At least I'll be able to find them (unlike most of the classics line), since it doesn't sound like any of you will buy them.

Oh, I know. I don't even know what possessed me to look at a movie related thread, much less respond to someone's comments in it. Just a glutton for [IMG], I guess.

    :thumb

Anywho, I like these toys. I definitely see and appreciate the nods mentioned in Prime. I definitely see Starscream's Kazon resemblance, which I think is neato. I shall buy both. That is all.

They're ok. Miles better than most Alternators/Binaltech.

These are not for me. Prime's robot mode is almost ok, but overall they're just kind of "GOD WHY" inducing for me.

The 9.99 pricepoint is indeed good news though.

I'm surprised to hear an opinion like "miles better than most Alternators/Binaltech" though. I know, I know, personal taste differs with everyone, and that's cool, but that's still surprising to me.

90% transform in a similer way.
Car hood as chest, rear of car as legs.
These are different and I like that. Change is good.

It is a shame, how many resources wasted on Starscrap and Crapimus Prime... and also can you imagine how many poor kids lost a finger building this insult to Transformers, look for them at Amazon.com, or else...
