I was glad the humans didn't even get a mention. Enough time was wasted on them in the series.
I would have liked to have seen more Transformers returning to cybertron rather than just the implication of new ones being made. Wonder what became of Shockwave then and Megatron.

 

The movie was ok. Didn't really care for the ending. Was hoping to see more of a tie in with the comics and at least see the Dinobots

 

I hope we get a sequel series with the Predacons taking the place of the Decepticons.

I wanted to devote my life to serving Lord Megatron, and now he just says we all can go to the scrapyard, since he doesn't need us anymore. I must be the next Lord, then.

 

I was hoping they'd close the Airachnid loop a little tighter. I guess she's just chilling out with Terror-Vehicons on a random planet?

All in all, it was enjoyable to watch. Glad to see that Knockout = sell out lol. I loved the series for what it is, and will buy the rest of the DVD series. I give it a nice "golf clap ".

 

I thought that when Unicron was trapped in the Allspark container, the allspark had switched into Megatrons body and he would then sacrifice himself to restore Cybertron. I would have found that a more satisfying ending to the series and to Megatron rather than he comes back to life and retires.

 

I would have Unicron possess Optimus Prime instead. Could you imagine the Autobots have to fight their own leader who's possessed by the Chaos bringer?

 

Unicron wouldn't be able to possess Optimus. He was never infused with Dark Energon.

 

Fixed. Regardless, it's entirely possible she's still up there, and may return as a threat for a future series/comic epilogue or something. Or she and her horde have just starved to death at this point or went into hibernation or something.

Who knows. Just be one of those things where we'll have to wait and see if anyone comes back to that.

 

I'm still confused on why Megatron retired. I mean, the whole 'I now know what it feels like to be oppressed' thing doesn't work when you consider that he spent the earlier portions of his life as a slave, oppressed by the Primes. You could say Unicron reminded him, but that's not something i'd think he'd forget about.

 

I think being oppressed by a dark god is a whole different experence then just being oppressed by the caste system.

 

Megatron wasn't ever truly helpless in the early days.

This was the first time he couldn't do a damned thing to save himself, his home or those he considered his comrades. On top of that, Unicron made him watch and tortured him all at the same time, and Unicron told Megatron that he'd suffer his wrath for an eternity 

What the High Council, Primes or Quintessons did wasn't nothing compared to Unicron's actions.

 

It would be like the first half of Transformers Robots in Disguise. But the real question is: Who will lead the Autobots now that Optimus is gone??

 

We could go with the whole Smokeprime thing.

Yeah, being as strong as he was, he was oppressed, but never felt what it was like to be oppressed AND powerless.

 

I thought so too, you never know. If they do I hope they go the beast wars route. I'm getting tired of the same G1 reinvented story and characters.
