So you justify your purchase of KOs with your inability to plan ahead?

Yes, he does! And so do I! I also buy used video games, steal candy from babies, and ... AND ... I'll empty a box of cereal just to get the toy! Bwahahahahahahaha!

Seriously, some of us DO have budgets, and if we get an influx of cash, what we want is no longer available for a reasonable price due to exaggerated markups. No big deal.

Notice Smokescreen's blue here is probably incorrect, as it's the lighter toy blue as opposed to the cartoon darker blue that all the other photos have shown. These samples on this website have been shown to have the wrong colors or details before.

Yes...they are attempting to do the MPs in scale and provide a cheaper price point. So in a way, they can satisfy those who can't afford to pay $150 for every MP and make a nice display for those who pay attention to scale. They have been selling out everywhere, so I'd say that they are doing something right.

I understand budgets, I don't make a lot of money. But it's made easier by the length of time between an announcement of the figure and the release. Life happens, and sometimes you have to cancel a preorder. So in the case of the first two Datsuns, it may be too late for you to come up with the cash. Bluestreak gets released at the end if this month, and you only have a few weeks to come up with $60. I've had prowl and 'streak on pre-order since March. Plenty of time to plan. Just a matter of jumping on a pre order at the right time, but smokey foesnt come out until December.

I don't see the issue with him wanting to buy a KO version.. Even if someone did plan ahead, that's still extra money spent no matter how you look at it.

I don't see who he's hurting or how it's our business.

It's not my business, it's an opinion. Welcome to a message board. It's not the purchase of KOs that I commented on. It's the logic that the purchases were based upon. I paid $40.23 plus $15.73 for express shipping. Hardly worth justifying the purchase of a knock off, again, in my opinion.

If I can't afford something I simply don't get it, but if I bought KO's I'm enjoying something that for all intentions is stolen. Did the KO people pay TT for the right to use the mold? No they stole it and are making a profit off someone elses hard work. And yes it hurts companies because if you wanted that you would pay the price and thats it, this is less revenue for the company which means they have less money to make even more awesome stuff.

Pirates love lieing to everyone that they don't hurt anyone because they weren't going to buy it anyway, but this is a lie, they want the figure but they don't want to give the company who has real human employees who depend on their company doing well to make a living because $10 is too much for them.

As a $15 years old who didn't work I managed to save up $150 to buy G1 Reissues Hot Rod, Starscream and Sixliner. That was 13 years ago so some of the people here need to man up and stop buying stolen goods.

I like that lion bot. The other Transformers Go toy has a bad robot mode.

I am in no way defending KO's, don't care for them in the least for the moral reasons you've mentioned and quality as well.

But, the toys that get Knock Offs are usually heavey sellers. Meaning every offical figure they make gets sold. There is no harm being done to the company at this point. It's no different than people selling items on the secondary market, the company doesn't see any money from the reselling of thier product. So what does it matter if it's a KO or not?

Even when there are second runs of figures, they too sell out.

I personally don't like KO's, but they are not hurting anyone either.
