To my knowledge they've never removed the listing before. They've removed the options "sold in stores", "ship to store", and "free store pickup", but they've kept the listing up. The listing has now been removed.

Doesn't mean they won't put the listing back up at some point, but it's worth noting nonetheless. I would guess that if they have any stock left for online, they are going to hold it until the holidays - so it would make sense to remove the listing until that time.

Soundwave is selling like hotcakes. Why hold stock back for the holidays when they can sell them all now? Unless they plan to jack up the price for the holiday sales? Now some would argue it would help bring traffic but are adult collectors really the type of traffic TRU wants during the holiday season that they are willing to hold inventory?

Got mine yesterday...Ravage's front torso was assembled upside down. Any known way of getting this addressed by Hasbro?

Actually they removed him twice, and I believe actually three times.

First time was after they listed "available July 15" then took it down.
Second time was around the 3rd week of August. IIRC they took him down briefly for a day a few days before they had him available just recently. I check TRU multiple times daily, and he has been taken down.

Not tryin to argue, just sayin I'm obsessive compulsive. =)

Hrmmm, odd, been following this for a while, checking regularly never seen it down after they had the initial stock. The listing was removed before he went up on the 18th (I know because I missed getting him then by minutes), but after that, I've never seen it not available. There are times it didn't show up in search, but I still found it directly. I guess I didn't check as compulsively though, heh.

You would think that it's common sense , but as the saying goes , "common sense is not all that common."
Proper box, taping, and filling up the box can make all the difference in the world.

With all the online shipping , Perhaps it's about time to have a packaging class in high school simlar to sex Ed , lol . They will use what they learn for sure .

Also some mass assembly package process have different stations to do order fulfillment and packaging / sealing.
Example , station 1 puts toy and invoice in shipping box , station 2 place packaging Material in to that same box , station 3 will tape seal and label .

It could mean that the warehouse that held them for TRU's online outlet it completely out. This does not mean that TRU stores themselves no longer carry them. Take, for example, how many times have people ran into a TRU Thundercracker despite zero listing on TRU.com?

TRU doesn't use the same warehouses for store fulfillment. They apparently went to a separate fulfillment system for toysrus.com a couple of years ago.

Some retailers fill there orders out of the same warehouses that they use to ship to stores. And there are some retailers that don't even fill their own web orders. They send some of there product to a third party that handles orders for several different companies.

So that's it for TRU? They NEVER had him properly available online? I was lucky enough to snag one from a board member. But if I hadn't, since I live nowhere near a TRU, I would NEVER have been able to buy one at retail. That's ridiculous.

The figure has been available on and off thru the site for 2 months. He has shown up sporadically at stores. This is a high demand figure that will be scalped. It takes effort to attain these. If there arent local stores to stalk, then one needs to stalk the site.

NJ Members: TRU in Rockaway NJ had 3 Soundwaves, Acid Storms and Metroplexes as of yesterday 10AM.

Sorry for posting away from the Findings, but I see a lot of upset people and just want this to get exposure

People buy multiple sw mp online & stores....

so i know there's people that buy multiples like 5 or more, so the time they posted it for a day and a half a week ago was the perfect time for everyone to get it, other than that the site posted it and it sold out in an hour or less that same day, so if you weren't there that day and a half it was up, that was i assume the last and final posting of mp sw on the site so they can finish the rest of the stock and close the posting for good. Again this is something that is going to sell for a lot once it is gone like most mp tf and the 20 percent discount added to that is even gonna make it less than retail around 104 and change, don't forget the 15 percent in august that would also make it 111.17 for me in my area after the discount, so that in itself is great to a scalper so they can make more $$$, so of course it will be bought multiple times by one scalper, think about 15% if the person has 20 sw mp in stock that is a load of savings and let's say 20% F & F for the website purchase last week for let's say 5 or more in purchase. Good luck to those now that it is possible the site won't post it again, hope you can find it for retail in your local tru.

that's right. don't believe or rely on the TRU.com. Go to your local TRU. I was just there a hour ago and I saw 3 MP soundwaves, one in mint box condition, the other 2 were mangled up(i think the latter 2 came from the same case), NO acid.

They were out there. Much better than Prime and I commend TRU for doing a better job. Wen the next MP drops, I expect an even better attempt. I purchased 5 Soundwaves during this run. 2 for me, 1 for my brother, and 2 for fellow forum members sold to them at cost+ the cheapest shipping possible. I admit, at first I was upset at the availability, but then they started showing up. So glad or was a better process than with Prime.

Just because it is no longer listed on the website does not mean it's gone. I'd continue to keep a close eye on the website. If there are no restocks before January 1st, then I would call it a day...
