I quite love MP Soundwave. That was a great figure to start off the year with. The accuracy on it is just impressive and the intuitiveness of not just Soundwave himself but his minions and how they're stored is just splendid.

Generations Metroplex is a dream come true. Many have wished for a bigger Metroplex and those people also wanted a new mold that was the size of G1 Fortress Maximus. We finally got one as a surprise from Hasbro. I seriously dig this thing. It's got electronics, a good size, it's fun all around!

    MP Soundwave
    MP Optimus (MP-10)
    Prime Grimwing
    Go Budora

Other than those, MP Rodimus, Takara Bulkhead & Universe Razorclaw were bought this year I believe, and they're definitely among my favorites.

oh man, almost everything I bought this year. Just two days ago it was a loose, complete 2007 Movie Bonecrusher for 7 bucks. I am done with Movie figures but Bonecrusher is one I always wanted.

Because I bought so much Official and 3P stuff this year it'll be easier for me to list what I didn't like that I bought.

Beast Hunters Lazerback, Ripclaw, Smokescreen, and Bulkhead. Prime RID Arcee, Dreadwing, and Airachnid. Airachnid in particular is scheduled for a particularly spectacular destruction.

well.. the year isn't over yet, so my list will include some foreshadowing.

    MP Prowl

    MP Bluestreak
i can already tell that those two are going to be tops on my list for the year.

    MP soundwave.. obviously.

beast fire predaking. while there are some problems with the figure.. i just think it looks fantastic in both modes.

IDW megatron. i absolutely love this mold. i just REALLY REALLY wish hasbro had made it a voyager.

    NON transformers..

Hot Toys Iron Man Mark VII.. all i can say is .. WOW. it's just an absolutely gorgeous figure. i really can't express how awesome it is. the light up feature, the battle damaged parts, the weaponry, and especially the repulser blast hands make the mark VII a highlight of 2013 for me.

Mafex Batman.. it's what the movie masters figures should've been. the thing looks awesome, is extremely posable, actually comes with accessories, and fits perfectly on the movie masters batpod.. it'd be awesome if medicom made a scale version of the bat for it.

SH Figuarts red and green rangers. i'm not a big overall power rangers fan.. but i love MMPR. these things are great, the poses they're able to accomplish are endless, and they come with a bunch of accessories that were used in the show.

    The years isnt done yet.

    That said: Generations Springer.

The shot in the arm this fantastic and fun figure gave to mainstream collecting can't be overstated. Just when I thought it would be 3P only for me from here on out he came along and proved Hasbro can not only get it right but can still make me smile.....when they want to.

Mp Soundwave, Generations Metro, Trailbreaker and Hoist and of course Sandstorm all get honourable mentions too. Who the heck would have given odds on a Metroplex this big a year ago?

Quakewave and Hexatron rule the 3Pverse as many others have already said.

The Datsuns have a shot at the crown too.....I'll see how I feel when Prowl is in hand.

that's starting to make me a tad nervous. my experiences with the MP sideswipe mold and MP soundwave were PERFECT.. that being said, my expectations are ridiculously high for the datsuns. MP hot rod is the only disappointing (in regards to transformation) masterpiece takara has provided me with. sideswipes mold and soundwave were both incredibly solid, and transformed like a dream. i hope the datsuns follow suit.
