I got a 16k deck, tried to make a defensive deck. Now its 15.3k. Still no good. Critics get to you all the time. It's fun when it is against bosses, but for PvP it ruins it. This last battle I got 3 critic against me.

I thougt i go for top 200 but im 2 low on my deck i have seen  
Deckpower is 15567 and im at pos 720 or so with 4000 point
But the top 200 are now at 10000 points and i can not win more then 3 games a row now.
So if i wanne puch for top 200 it cost me al lot of battlecubes and i dont want that.
Also the top 1000 card (Jetfire) is not a great card, it wil come in my deck but at the last position i gess.

The premise of this episode is fun, PVP and all, but I wasn't able to commit the time and money to grind and create of deck of Grimlocks from the previous episode. I would like to play more, but fear that in the long run I would only be able to go so far. Not only that, but I still seem to lose to decks whose cards and strength are well below mine, even using 2-3 BC's to try and keep up my win streak. Trying to refocus on defense for now, see how that goes.

On another note, does anyone know the stats of the Mirage and Rumble card? Want to see if it's worth it to try and go through the Episode space bridge since the loop reset is so low.

 

Dropped from 16k deck to 10k deck using all defense and high health guys in my deck. Problem is it's still pairing me up with people with episode cards? That sucks, but what's funny is I beat two in a row with this shitty deck, then someone got 5 criticals on me and I got none, real nice.

 

You guys with high win streaks, are you using 1 cubes for the most part and just getting lucky? I was just guessing between using 1 and 2 for a while and sometimes it worked, sometimes not. Also, using 3 cubes yesterday a few times and I still lost because of criticals.

 

I got up to a 6 win streak and said, wow, I'm not sure if I can beat this guy.. so let me try to 2 cube him...

Battle starts....

Him: crit > wipes out 3 of my guys..
Me: I hit him and kill one of the front guys
Him: crit > wipes out 3 more of mine
Me: I hit and kill a leader
Him: crit > wipes out the last 3

I'm like WTF that makes no sense I got 2 hits, so why did I even try a 2 cube.. this is pointless. Fuck this event.. I'm free cubing this thing out.. I'm just glad it's not taking a shit ton of EC..I can literally use all my BC's on 1 scan.. this shit is just so jacked up..

 

I think I'm starting to like this event. Yeah, it's a BC sink, the rewards go to sh*t as you climb in streaks, and the cube damage multiplier sucks, but I like seeing how my deck stacks up against other folks (just saw a deck full of Grimmys!). Getting hit by multiple Crits is hard to watch, but I feel I dish out just as much most of the time.

 

One more thing: I wish the multiplier affected other stats like hp and def

 

Has anyone actually had me turn up in their battles? So far I've seen Riven, infinitepizza, and red.

Last night I was in the middle of a win streak, somewhere around 20, and it tried to give me infinitepizza. I said "hell no" and tried someone easier. The next battle, he shows up again. And then again. Finally on the fourth battle, it was either face him or two other decks that looked stronger. The game seemed determined to put him against me. 3 cubes beat it, but it said I had 4% health left.

 

But you don't get to see how your deck stacks up because no matter how much strategy you put into it, Crits conquer all.

I at first laughed at Stage 2 Snarl being in my deck. But realized it doesn't make a lick of difference since he rattles off a few hits and knocks some guys out just as often as he gets one-shotted by a critical hit. And he sticks around just as long as most of the more "defensive" cards in my deck anyway.

PvP Episodes: Always Be Criting

 

This event should be renamed Battle of Crits.

 

Perfect name because that's all that counts

 

This event had been an experience, but after hitting max rank, i'm done.

 

It's not really a battle of crits when you don't even have control over it. It has more of a lucky draw vibe.

I look at it akin to an army of 100,000 fighting an army of 20,000. But every 2 minutes, each army may lose 50% of their remaining soldiers by a flip of a coin. Guess which side this coin toss benefits.

 

If you are observant you can minimize the chance of crits while selecting opponents to a degree. Too many people are trusting the recommend button.

 

Anyone with game file access see how many pvp ranks are listed?

 

Well I'm gonna change out to a lower deck when I'm not playing....this pvp chit is lame...all of this is gonna = to mo•dirtbaghey power increase to their bosses

 

How can you minimize Crits? Do sig weapons increase critical odds? I used to think so...

 

It depends on how you look at it. You have to understand that an MTM Slug in leader position has the ability to take out anyone upon a crit hit. T5 Optimus Prime, T5 Grimlock, T5 Snarl....they all go down.

In theory, any card which can deal a gross damage of 200k or so can kill anything when they get the 3x crit bonus. So in that respect, when it comes to crit hits, there's no difference between Grimlock or Slug or Thundercracker. A deck full o' Grimlocks will trash a deck full o' Slugs/TCs if there are zero crits. But if any one player were to be lucky enough to land 2 consecutive crit hits, it almost don't matter whether you have the latter or the former deck.
