Transformers: Predacons Rising: 5.5/10, the animation was nice, and it was better than the usual Prime affair.

Batman: Under the Red Hood - 9/10

This movie is awesome because of two things. 1.) Red Hood is badass and 2.) The Joker is a delightfully sick creep. John DiMaggio was excellent as The Joker. my second favorite after Mark Hamill.

    Chronicles of Riddick

Meh out of ten. It's so superficial. Neat ideas, but the execution was very lackluster. There was no clear direction/goal for anything in the film; nothing had a point. Everything is underdeveloped. The genre is sci-fi action, but the science fiction is not explored in the slightest and the action suffers from invincible Riddick and shaky cam (and missing sound effects).

In hindsight, this makes the new Riddick worse because instead of being a proper sequel, the entire movie is just one big reference to Pitch Black while being inferior to it and not doing anything new. How many times can we see Riddick get off world by way of mercenaries who always tie him up the same way?

Go ahead and make more Riddick games though. Those at least are always good.

^^^ With that being said about Chronicles Of Riddick... I'd like to add the Riddick (2013) movie to that pile as well.

    Riddick (2013) 6/10
    Read above...
And besides all that, when did the elusive- man of few words- criminal- Richard B. Riddick become as sexist as Duke Nukem. I mean, some of the lines in this movie made me cringe.

    Under The Bed 3.5/10
I feel like i just finished watching a long ass episode of Goosebumps.

    V/H/S (2) 6/10
This movie had it's good moments in each segment... and it also had it's bad. I enjoyed the Slumber Party & Ride In The Park chapters the most, while the Safe Haven segment had the most potential but failed with it's lame ending (Papa!) wtf!!!

    Pacific Rim 8/10
Didn't think i'd like this movie... well, i was wrong. I surprisingly enjoyed the hell out of this. Fun from beginning to end... and the visuals, WOW!

Same ratings and i really enjoy them both.

Riddick: 8/10 an improvement over the last one and went back to the R-rated formula after the PG-13 last one and delivered quality action.

What i saw in the last days since i was on this thread.

    More Halloween movie season viewing.

Evil Ed: 6/10 a very silly and decent Swedish made comical gore-feast that spoofs splatter films, gross too.

Poltergeist: 10/10 a masterpiece no doubt from Tobe Hooper and Steven Spielberg.

Jack Frost (1997 horror film): 5/10 so bad it's good and cheesy low budget movie i remembered renting as a teen and the film deals with a man who gets splashed by a genetic liquid which makes his body merged with the snow he melted on and becomes a murderous killer snow man.

Pinocchio's Revenge: 6/10 enjoyable low budget psychological horror thriller similar to Magic, Trilogy of Terror and Pin about a bizarre piece of crime evidence in the form of a Pinocchio doll and a female lawyer accidentally brings it home with her as her daughter thinks it's a gift and she soon hears voices in her head from it, who is the killer the daughter or the puppet?

Vampire's in Havana: 7/10 enjoyable Spanish-Cuban made adult animated comedy about Dracula's son who invents a potion to make vampires vunerable to sunlight. Sleazy and funny stuff no doubt.

The Nightmare Before Christmas on blu-ray: 10/10 definite Halloween and Xmas viewing and it looks/sounds flawless on blu-ray.

Maniac (1980) on blu-ray: 8/10 one of my favorite slasher films and it's a controversial, seedy and really gross splatter film with make-up effects by Tom Savini about a fatso schizoid who was abused as a sex and grows up to be a stalker who hunts down people especially women at night then slaughters them in various ways and scalps them as he collects their scalps in Mannequins as trophies and later falls in love with a photographer. I saw this on video 22 years ago and thought it was shocking stuff but Joe Spinell did a good performance as the tragic killer.

Night of the Living Dead (1968): 10/10 Simply a masterpiece no doubt!

The Island of Lost Souls on BD: 10/10 Easily the best Dr. Moreau adaptation thanks to creepy atmosphere, Charles Laughton's performance as Dr. Moreau, the ever sexy Panther Woman and all that.

John Carpenter's The Thing on BD: 10/10 always a 3 time season viewing especially for Halloween and this is the best sci-fi horror combo movie next to Alien and a true masterpiece, however i dislike it when this film is called a friggin' "remake" of the earlier film, no it wasn't, the 2 films have nothing in common as they are 2 separate adaptations of the same original source material "Who Goes There" and this movie stayed true to the novella unlike the earlier film.

From Dusk Till Dawn: 9/10 90s horror-action classic from Rodriguez and writer Tarantino, action abound with gore, thrills and great vampires make this a cult classic, i saw it 3 times when i was 14 in theaters and became one of my fave genre films.

Urotsukidoji Legend of the Overfiend: 8/10 anyone here thinks this movie nearly crippled the reputation of anime and some people thinking anime is all this especially in bad publicity? well this is one of anime's big introductions. Despite bad publicity and controversy this is one of the most shocking and unique animated cult classics ever! this earned an NC-17 for a good reason and has some hilarious dubbing but despite having a celebration of gore, exploding heads, mutilation, rape, naughty tentacles, sex and all that. I saw this when i was 15 and thought it was shocking stuff but nothing i've ever seen before as it has Lovecraft and Clive Barker-esque themes.

The Cabinet of Dr. Callagari: 10/10 one of Silent film's best movies and one of the best horror movies of all time.

    M. Night however you spell his last names The Last Airbender- -1/10. I watched all the episodes of the show, then I watched this crap fest, Transformer fans think the movie are inaccurate, and change too much? Think again.
