I'm totally Daniel Bryanting all over the Sideswipe. Its why I preordered.

 

Indeed. Some of us are quite particular on are bots and I for one have discerning tastes.

That head I can't stand. It's comic perfect...which is quite unfortunate as its a hideous face. Even if I forgive the..."Cheshire Cat on crack" look the mouth exudes, then I'm left staring at those eyes... Those creepy Zombie-like eyes.

Walking Dead Vs. Transformers cross-over anyone? No thanks.

The head excluded, this figure ROXX. I mean with those guns and those G2 decals this figure's kickin' so much ass that its feet are sore.

Thundershot here had a good idea to just do a head swap with a MP knock off of one of the existing molds...Might have to look into this option, but I need to see if going through the trouble is worth the pay off in the end.

Toys based on the G2 comic - AWESOME!! If I'd known it was coming out, I would've gotten this one. No way I'm buying two of the same mold when they're this expensive, though. Hastek's silence on these things is maddening, and they have themselves to blame if this doesn't sell well.

Hey, this toy cheats! The spiked wheels aren't the real wheels... even worse, they're accessories you have to add yourself. But in the comic, its alt mode doesn't have spiked wheels either. So the toy is more accurate by cheating?!

 

G2 Sideswipe is my favourite version of the original mould, so that makes this already very interesting to me.

But that TT made him to resemble the G2 comics with the spiked wheels, the guns and especially his face (so glad he doesn't use the original head: i think it looks bland to have too many of the same faces), that's just sweetens the deal.

Already have one pre-ordered but I hope I can find the funds to get a second one. This is one is too good to have only one. Could probably become my favourite version of the MP mould, just like the original toy but better.

 

The face is awesome and very appropriate. This is G2 Sideswipe all the way - totally 90's extreme!

Surprised Soundblaster has the tape door extension, seems pretty unnecessary. Also, Ratbat is missing the points on his back guns...still great, but not quite perfect. Don't need the red Megatron gun either.

 

i want (already bought!) this and IDW to release the G2 comics.

 

Despite my reservations because of Side's face the color scheme makes him a have to get for me. Same goes for Blaster gotta have.

Wondering how easy it will be to pick up a Soundblaster sans Ratbat on eBay after release, considering how many people will be after just the cassette bot.

I'm pretty happy that I didn't end up getting Soundwave now. Sure, Soundblaster is somewhat inferior but at least I don't have any duplicates after buying the Takara tape packs (got the Laserbeak mold with Buzzsaw).

 

I don't know if I like sideswipes face its a little strange for my tastes but I may get him still because it is an awesome version of the figure.

 

soundblaster looks great but I would have prefered a second cube over that red megatron gun. That gun is absolutely useless to me.

 

I cleaned up Ratbat and made it into a png. just in case somebody wants to use it for a sig or something.  

 

When I saw sideswipe face I felt like Rowdy Roddy Piper when he first put on the sunglasses.

 

The more I see of these two the more excited I get to have then on my shelf. They are both amazing looking repaints. And Sideswipe's face is really growing on me. I can't believe I'm saying this but the thought of applying a G2 Autobot sticker to a Masterpiece figure has me all giddy inside. Bring it!

 

I don't need SoundBlaster, I just want Ratbat..... and Overkill, Slugfest, Squawktalk and Beastbox!

I think the tape door extension was depicted on the toon tho, so it's pretty cool that they went that extra step - I like how even the detailing around and on the door is subtly different. Still not enough to get me buying the set, but it's appreciated anyway. Ditto the amount of love they've shown for basically a comic only version of a character (G2 Sideswipe with spiked wheels, sword etc). It's a very promising development for the MP line
