Leaving the (interesting, if unlikely, to my mind) possibility of a Go-Bot homage to the side, I think the statement about "ZERO hints" was strictly in reference to the 2 pages of comic preview posted late in the evening. I think the hint about "new take not new character" (or whatever it was) still stands.

I've no problems with the figure releases. They are what they are; I like some and I'm "meh" on some.

However, regarding the hype of a week of reveals… it is Thursday and expectations are grossly unmet.

This sums up my feelings exactly...buying blindly loses it's appeal exponentially as the $$$ increases...

Not to sound argumentative, but the club said there would be a week full of reveals. Lets go through them.

Monday - Huge reveal about Micron partners, not 1 but 3. Catgut, Frenzy, & Stylor

Tuesday - they revealed the 3d render of Rewinds head. Sure Rewind himself was revealed last week, but the club is revealing (showing) us how they have improved the head sculpting to ensure mistakes like Beatlejuice head P/CP doesn't happen again. I think fans are happy with the improvement.

Wednesday - all be it quite late in the evening and not really Wed for east coast people, 2 of the 7 pages for the comic were released. What does this mean? well the fact that it is 7 pages should Reveal to us that it is not going to be in the club mag, at least that is how I am taking it.

Thursday - as with every Thursday since the reveals have started, today we should expect to see either Chromedome or the last figure in the set. All leading to the open enrollment to the Sub 2.0.

The Club said they would do reveals all week. They have. Some people wait all day to see what is coming with anticipation, others do not. Some like what they see, others do not.

I am not sure what more you want. I mean YOUR expectations are your opinion and you are quite entitled to it. However, the Club thus far has done exactly what they said they would.

Agreed, but as far as I'm concerned Monday has been the only true reveal in this week of reveals.

Monday and full-on press release set the bar (too high apparently).

Tuesday was bunk, we'd already seen the render on the digibash. A tweeted blown-up uncoloured version of the same with some encouraging words isn't a reveal.

Wednesday, comic pages. Personally don't care about the Timelines/FunPub/BotCon comics, but admittedly that's me. But considering it supposedly had ZERO hints in it I'm calling it a dubious reveal—it's a figure subscription service, I want to see figures.

If today (Thursday) is going to be Chromey, then the debate over really being a reveal is in full effect again. We know it, we've seen the head designs and know the mould for the body/alt-mold. We haven't seen the digibash, but I kind of know what colour Chromedome is and as always "image depicts a mock-up, final product may vary".

Am I being hyper-critical here? Most likely. But I'm first to admit I'm already signing up no matter what the rest of the reveals are because there are certain figures I want and I know I can probably break even by off-loading what I don't (and my tastes usually seem to skew opposite of most).

Am I expecting too much from a claim of a week of reveals? Absolutely, it seems, at least in my reasoning of what a week of reveal should mean. I'm not going to bitch and moan about colour choices or price (though I will comment on mould choices, because this is the internet FFS), but I will always call B.S. on marketing hype because it almost always has the exact opposite effect and I actually want to continue to see efforts like TFSS succeed and improve and that isn't going to happen by continually fumbling through attempts at social media marketing. If you say, "We do have a very cool tease planned... Will be up this evening (EST)" and then don't tweet until 0112am (EST) the next day saying, "Check out […] our Facebook page" and don't even give link—that's just a pathetic attempt. How hard is it to post a tweet on time: Did they forget to hit send? Forget to add the link/image? Ok, I've done both of those things (more than once) but I'm not being paid to do it. Seriously, hire someone competent to do your marketing.

I wish they'd space out reveals long enough to get the first sub over with.. I really don't want to pay for the first of the 2.0 before the last of 1.0...

    Here's the quote again
And now they're saying the sixth has had ZERO clues. Is Chromedome the 5th or 6th? Or is he the 2nd? I'm so confused...

    Well, 5th, 6th and 7th (bonus) haven't been "revealed".
    The Official Transformers Collectors' Club
    I'm assuming Chromey is 5th…

But then, yeah. Okay. I'm confused now too.

Maybe Chromey IS the 7th… he does go perfectly with one of the other reveals (Rewind).

That would be the only way the statements for the 5th and the 6th reveals are both true.

There is an assumption there, of course…

What, there's no rule about quoting yourself! Is there?

I still think the context suggests that the "ZERO hints" thing is best understood strictly in reference to the comic just previously posted. There were already a bunch of folks suggesting that it meant we'd be getting either Heinrad or Oil Slick....

If that's the case, then Chromedome is the 6th (he isn't hinted in the comic) as the hint for the 5th doesn't match up with Chromedome. Also twitter just had something about no one guessing the 5th.

    Unless Chromedome is the bonus.

    Which I doubt.

I'm also assuming Chromedome is the 5th, since we've known about him since Botcon, seems like making him the bonus figure would be a bit weak, unless they're seeing him as the "must have" of this set, but that still would bum me out, since he was revealed day 1.

The only Transformers connection to Spiderman that I can think of is Gears. Didn't they work together in one of the early Marvel issues? Who could TFCC use as Gears?
