    In the early trailer ti says Striker Eureka, the last active jaeger is getting decommissioned. Either this means that the Jaegers get refitted in the middle of the film and thrown out of retirement, or something else happens.

    Tho,the way the trailers seem to have been selling the movie, Striker, Crimson and Gypsy will survive.

    I decided to look deeper into the trailer to see if there's anything we didn't catch.

    Striker Eureka's pilot outside his Jaeger staring down EMP kaiju while using a pistol.

    Gypsy Danger has jump boosters.

    Striker Eureka seems to be fighting a different kaiju when it gets EMPed as it's facing the other way.

    The "cancel the apocalypse" guy is piloting Eureka. He does the same arm movements as the next shot.

    Similarities? GIANT ROBOTS. And that's pretty much it. I don't hear people comparing I Am Number Four and The Avengers because of the shared concepts of giant alien monster things and super powers...
