I like the Japanese Language (including singing it along with any JPN shows that I watch..or just the Openings/Endings in the case of JPN Animated). Ah, I see :lol I met someone here :) Chrome Mechtech weapons sound affordable in Japan! I mean, if there are some toys you want it's no problem, eh. 3000yen is a weird amount though, I assume a deluxe + an EZ isn't enough?
That's the thing - I like most of Japan exclusive TFs. They are so costly. How do I get from Japan to Oz, you mean like airlines? I've used Mandarake online a couple of times, the service is excellent.
A few years ago when I was there the exchange rate was the worst. It was like AU$1 to 56yen. I couldn't buy anything let alone eating out and stuff. It's still pretty bad though, I miss it when it was a dollar for 100yen. Most of Aussie collectors get TakTom toys and sometimes even Hasbro toys from online shops outside Australia. We don't really have a good online shop, and a deluxe costs about $23 ~ 30. BBTS is popular, and also Robotkingdom (shipping is cheaper for us). We have Target and Kmart, wal-mart exclusives seem to end up at Kmart here.
I'm still in Japan, the yen rate isn't as good as it was a few years ago. Damn I used to think 110 yen to 1 dollar was bad, right now it's like 73 yen to a dollar so transformers are pretty expensive even though it's a little cheaper then online retailers. Now since you're from austrailia and I don't know anything about it, how do you guys get takara toys and such? What about US retailer exclusives like walmart or target exclusives?
