Generally as any line dies down, stores have overstocked on earlier toys and so won't order new ones until the old ones clear out. Thus, the final wave toys end up being canceled (DOTM deluxe Soundwave, Wheeljack, Leadfoot) or stupidly hard to find (Universe 2.0 Hot Shot and Ratchet, I found the latter at a grocery store of all places a year after his release).

One thing I recomend for trying to track those figures down is hitting up secondary retail. Marshals, TJ MAXX, etc. They tend to get the figures that never hit main retail, and have been the source for quite a few of my rare retail figures.

Enh, considering how fucking hard it was to track this toy down without going into triple digits, I'm willing to sacrifice that one small aspect (which considering I am a Mobile Suit model kit building fiend is something I can easily experience with a much more challenging 1/144 High Grade build) if it means getting the damn toy before the holiday season and having to wait for it in the middle of that package sending clusterfuck that will become the US mail system.

'bout 80 shipped + slight extra to cover the paypal fees, haggled down from 80 before shipping. It's basically MIB other than the hammer being assembled (stickers still on the sheet). Slightly over my intended limit but after having to deal with dragging 5 years of old stick debris further back into a wooded area, I was too happy I finally got a seller who responded to me.

Yep. And after a spectacularly shity Sunday due to yard work reasons, one of the sellers got back to me with a great deal on his War Breakdown.

Can't fucking wait to get him. And those movie toys.

Oh gods yes. The fact Tarn, or anybody else of the DJD,do not have toys yet means somebody's name is going on 'The List'.

And actually to be quite honest we could use a new Overlord.

Well, while it is by no means up to par with current classics, we do have the original Classics Rodimus so there is an official figure of him.

Plus, he usually gets homages out the wazoo in the majority of lines anyway. Give me more updates of older characters who need the love, like Whirl, Tailgate, and goddamnit that Star Saber design from MTMTE freakin' DEMANDS to become a toy. Because Primus is with him.

If you have the money, go one step higher and get the Buster Optimus for Jetwing. That way you can have the version with the best gun of all movie Leader Primes save for that one Japanese release that actually had the twin chaingun jetpack.

That reminds me, I need to update my collection thread.

As for the movies, I'd say your line up is pretty good (especially since the original concept of the HA's was made with a Voyager Ratchet, I personally have the Desert Tracker variant due to a rather complicated reason involving the death of a friend's grandmother) but you might as well use the HA's since HA Skids and Mudflap actually aren't that much bigger than their deluxes but they come with in-scale bike sisters and Mudflap has Simmons so you can recreate the "ONE MAN" speech scene which is probably one of the best parts of ROTF.

The only problem with that is, well, HA Topspin doesn't exist.

Yeah, Classics is my main source of plastic crack, although I also do like the majority of the Movie figures, mostly the ones not based on in-movie designs. Currently working out a deal to secure some figures of the movie asthetic I've wanted for a while, including Commetor; the third and final member of the S7 Buggy Brothers. Can't wait to do a group shot of Landmine, Armorhide, and Commetor together at last.

But yeah, I'm sort of concerned because the guy I'm working out the above deal with got back to me within hours, while it's been two days and the guys who still have Breakdown listed haven't even told me if they actually still have the toy for sale at all, much less the total price, which does not make me confident.

Just found out an AM-12 Breakdown got listed and sold overnight, don't know if I'm more depressed or pissed at this point. Narrowly missed the first one, still waiting to hear back from three users, and then a fifth gets sold right out from under me.

I know the Silas version is largely the same but just black and the different head, but I honestly don't think it looks that good and it doesn't have the hammer. It's got that mantis/gun thing which I also don't like.

      I got:
      - FE Cliffjumper
      - PRID Soundwave
      - PRID Wheeljack
      - PRID Knock Out
      - PRID Rumble
      - Cyberverse Vehicon

and generally because I just don't like Prime as a cartoon, I only want Breakdown and Cab-Over Ultra Magnus because their designs look awesome. Kinda concerned that of the three War Breakdowns still listed as availiable here on TFW, I've sent PM's to all of them asking if they're willing to sell for a slightly lower price (we're talking $5 less here) and not one of them as gotten back to me.

Dragstrip would certainly be a Smokescreen retool (although he originally was a Knock out retool...). Better alt. mode for it.

Motormaster would be a repaint of that excellent first Ultra Magnus mold (the cab-over) that is also on my list of Prime toys to get. But Breakdown has priority because of RHINOHAMMER.

Depends if I like the design. I didn't buy Dead End since he was a Wheeljack retool and while I though the colors were neat I try to avoid buying doubles of molds when I can.

And who said I was going for your Breakdown? I just wanted to raid the fridge.
and maybe steal a stereo while I'm at it...

Well, my main lead for Breakdown fell through, but I might have a backup. If that fails, however, I'll need your address and keys to your front door.

Personally, I still use my old Ultra-class Armada Starscream namely because of the size being more accurate. He was the only Decepticon I owned for years as a kid so nostalgia does play a role there, too.

And I don't know about the tray. Since Swerve is going to be a legends class, do you have any recent Legend class figures to do a size comparison with?

Actually, to work in the comic pack-in...technically it's IDW G1 Starsceam in a new body.

Fuck tables, get the goddamn torches and pitchforks.

If T30 does not give us a Tarn, we're going old school angry fan mob on Hasbro.

Interesting...and yeah, Hoist is a great figure but the fact he comes with an excellent spotlight (and not just for Hoist characterization, pretty much ANYTHING to do with Swerve in the book is hillarious aside from one part which you'll see) just makes the whole package even sweeter. And congrats on 200!

      Awesome, thanks for the advice!

And yeah, super jelly about that Blaster. I want him bad for my Classics Autobots collection but distribution around my area is crap and they rarely get any of the last waves in.
