A lot of stories have used Genesis and Exodus as chapter references, first and second; however, I see your point with the definitions you attached, though Hasbro releasing an art book, one with no connection save for the name, as Genesis and calling this one Exodus can’t be coincidental, can it?

Should be a fun read nonetheless. I haven’t had a novel-like book of Transformers to read since I was a kid. I remember the find-your-fate style adventure books they had out in the eights; it was RPG-ish. A proper novel will be very interesting.

June 22 is a long ways away--wonder if the date will be bumped to coincide with the new release date with the game (it has the original game release date for its street date).

I'm interested, but hardback books shipped overseas cost a pretty penny. I may have a little longer before it reaches Japan or until Amazon Japan has it up. I'm interested though. I'm wondering why "Exodus" not Genesis is used. Will there be a prequel to the prequel?

Most of the recent Primes have been OK, like in Animated and the movie IDW has been cool too as in looking unique. You don't mean Optimus from an alt-world do you? Like G1 vs. Movie?

The ones from the cartoon, during Optimus Primes journey in time, and in some rare occasions in the present setting in all continuities, Primes have different forms/attitudes. I enjoyed Animated Rodimus, but he was actually Hot Rod, rather than Rodimus Prime, but still, I liked that fact that he was a leader and not so much the rebel with no responsibility—I loved Animated, actually; I was sad to see it go off the air. There was no need to end it.

I hope it’s good too, too many Transformer games have sucked terribly, and it’s time one came along that drew attention because of its coolness and uniqueness—my fingers are crossed!

With May around the corner, we should be getting a video soon, with more info on voices and playable characters. I don’t want High Moon Studios to spill all the beans, I want surprises, but I do want a few unanswered questions answered: how different will in-game graphics differ from cutscenes; how exactly will transforming work in the game; are the special abilities limited in assortment (is there one per character/shared abilities); can characters upgrade their weapons/abilities; from start to finish start to finish, how long is the game’s story; are the cutscenes just a few minutes in length each or are there a few that a bit longer; how many additional characters are initially available for online play modes, etc.

I’m sure all those characters won’t be answered—most games today don’t answer all those questions—but I would like a few of them answered before release day; I want the game the week (if not day it comes out), but if I still have doubts before its release, I’ll wait for YouTube vids and reviews before purchasing.

I'm guessing this is from "The 13" the comic IDW/Hasbro said were getting but now it seems to be in use with this game. But a Prime's title is equal to the Pope in our reality, they dont last forever. It's not that Optimus is stronger It's because the story centers around him. IMO Primal did WAY more than Optimus.

I don’t really have a problem with other Primes—after I sent my last message, I remembered the cartoon reference other Primes before Prime :P—I just have issues with them all looking like Optimus Prime. Why can’t they be unique?

I'm sure if we see any other Primes it will all be back story. Rodimus is cool n all but I'm just not a fan, he F*cks-up too much LOL!

I think Rodimus made it too easy to dislike/hate him. Not only did he never believe in himself he didn’t DO anything. He grew up (buffed up), but didn’t have any of the responsibility or sense of leadership. I was missing Hot Rod after the first time I saw Rodimus in action in the cartoon years ago.

I hope it plays nothing like the movie games, which it seems like it’s shaping up to be—I don’t mean constantly remind those that love those incarnation of Transformer games my dislike for them, I only want to point out that these games are very unpopular (no one talks about them). The developers held back or lacked the ability to make Transforming memorable. I hope High Moon Studios can do that. If what I read about Jetfire running atop asteroids/flying around them is true I’ll be a happy camper; that’s the sort of creativity I want to see and then some.

Good luck on the pro-gamer aspect; it’s a very tough crowd. I play gamers in Japan who are just insane at what they do! :eek:

Yeah I was bummed about that as well. I already have leader ROTF Prime so I'm happy with that. It's kind of scary that Activision owns most of the line.

Only Animated figs I need to add to my collection are Rodimus, Cyb Ratchet and Arcee. I have the main cast, dinobots and Elite Guard. I hope the WFC line gets the Aerialbots and Jetfire toys.

Skywarp, too; he has more airtime than his not-so-popular other brother :p Skywarp is seen just about everywhere Starscream is, but either in front of him or behind him. I thought their plan was pretty sweet really. While the Autobots tracked Starscream, Skywarp was always flying opposite, reminding them that there was another lurking in the distance, just as he was closing in on them with Starscream closing in from the other direction, Thundercracker pops out of nowhere with an attack of his own. I hope the game plays like that!

The Toy Fair news sounds good, but it still doesn't make up for the lack of gameplay footage. I'm sure we'll see footage soon. I can't wait. I'm happy once again to hear the game plays nothing like previous games :D

The Toy Fair news actually told more than I would have wanted to know :P I hope there's more to the story than what's explained. Zeta Prime? Do players get to off him while playing as Megatron just before fighting Omega? I think that'd be pretty cool.

He looks good, not into HA due to the price. But Drift and the WFC toys I really want. I posted an article about the game in the news section. Some new info check it.
