Sketching and making art the traditional way is the best start! Just to sketch around with pencils is much more fun than doing somthing digital on the computer.
Oh and I want to make Megs for the Cars Decepticons also, I don't know exactly "how" but I will just give it a try.
I have finished Barricade, Blackout and Starscream so far.

Concerning your question, I do most of my art digital, at least the inking and the coloring, the "base" is still a traditional drawn sketch ;3 Programs I use: Adobe Photoshop for the Coloring and Adobe Illustrator for the inking/outlines.

hey hey! About my icon, my cat did the same thing when we first found him. :lol there was ripped up toliet paper everywhere in the bathroom! He does it to magazines as well. As for the shirt, hmm. I didn't see on the website either. In the store it was in the Juniors section, up against the wall. They had one of those little white signs it said "screen(I am pretty sure the word was screen or print) tees $11.99" But they might have already clearanced them, that was a few weeks ago I found that shirt. Sorry I can't help more but I don't even know the brand. It's either a Q or backwards P with a L and an owl. Maybe they have them in the JC Penney catalog, did you try looking there?
