Paramount Pictures International svp, EMEA Edward Ryan walked CineEurope attendees through the studio’s rollout plans for 2015 and beyond.

For 2016, Ryan promised Paranormal Activity 5, a new take on Ben Hur directed by Timur Bekmambetov, the return of Eddie Murphy for Beverly Hills Cop, Transformers 5, GI Joe 3, Hansel and Gretel 2 and Star Trek 3

So, only a two year wait? Nice!  

 

So is Bay staying on to do it? That seems like a short amount of time if they have to find a new director and production team. At least it seems like they might have the story plotted out already building off of AOE.

 

This appears to be the only source I see... however if it is 2016 the chances are that Bay is staying on to direct.

The three year wait would be roughly how long it would take to get a new director and give them enough room to make a film - which is why their was a three year wait between DOTM and AOE to keep the potential for Bay to leave open. If its moved forward to 2016 as this source seems to believe then its likely going to have Bay stay on as director.

Though I wouldn't be surprised if this is an error - considering the below image pretty much states that Hasbro had a plan for the film series and associated media - it would be weird for them to change their plans...

 

If it has indeed been changed to 2016, that mean Bay has for sure decided to stay on and see this trilogy through to the end. And honestly, at this point I say let the man finish up this trilogy and worry about a fresh reboot after.

Yeah I hope Michael Bay stays.. I think he's the best person to finish off the trilogy IMO

Also the way I look at it is AOE should be on Blu ray and DVD around Oct-Nov right? So that's only like 5 or 6 months until the next movie would start filming if this info hold true

Yessirrr.   I'm getting that Blue Ray disc the day it comes out.  

 

I hope they don't do the Blu-Ray in September, 3D and bonus features in January crap again. Knowing me I'd have to double dip again.
