Rise of the Dark Spark - NO PVP ONLINE MULTIPLAYER

There has been a lot of debate as to whether Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark will have online PVP multiplayer matches similar to Fall of Cybertron's: Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, and Headhunter.

Well....it looks like we can put the rumors to rest, because it seems certain that ROTDS has axed all online multiplayer other than Escalation.

This is based on the recently released In Game trophies for ROTDS shown here: Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark (PS3) Trophies - PS3Trophies.org

Notably, there are no trophies related to any multiplayer achievements other than Escalation.

Compare this to the in game trophies for "Fall of Cybertron", which contains nine PVP multiplayer trophies: Transformers: Fall of Cybertron Trophies - PS3Trophies.org

• Reconfiguration Matrix - Create a custom character in Multiplayer
• Headmaster! - Reach max level in a single class
• King of the Scrap Heap - Reach max level in all four classes
• What Prime Directives? - Unlock Prime Mode
• Full Throttle Scramble Power! - Earn MVP in any game mode during a public Multiplayer match
• Ultimate Menasor - Capture three flags in a single CTF game during a public Multiplayer match
• Moonbase One - Personally capture all 3 nodes in a conquest game during a public Multiplayer match
• Ballistic Energon Goodie - Return five heads at once in a headhunter game during a public Multiplayer match

So, for all the fans who are planning to pre-order the game because they were looking forward to more online PVP matches, it looks like this game should be downgraded from BUY to RENT.

I new there would be none. And I was right.

 

This could simply mean their are no cheevos/trophies for the pvp modes.

Which is a good thing as pvp achievements are always the worst thing ever. They either are meaningless progression stuff or game breaking "do this dumb thing you wouldn't normally do this many times".

I do wonder if this game will be any good, all signs point to it not being good but maybe it won't be quite as terrible as I'm expecting.

Uh what about the trophy

Active Prime mode In all but ROTF you had the ability to become a prime...

 

FOC only had 5 PVP achievements, they could of simply ditched them in favour for new escalation achievements. The PVP achievements weren't really that great anyway, was all "collect so many flags, deliver so many sparks to a point you control etc"

This is a good thing, means i can max out the trophies on this game without being interupted by a fucking moronic 10 year old called "OpTiMuS PrImE IZ DA BEST" -.-

Also i see activate Prime Mode, meaning there is Multiplayer, just no stupid PVP achievements.

 

Not in ROTF.

 

i dunno. I've always LIKED Escalation better [teamwork ftw and all that] and IF there is no PVP i would hope that even more went into said Escalation mode but its hard to have ANY enthusiasm for this game. The terrible premise, the melding of the -For Cybertron series with the cash-grab-movie-tie-in universes. The whole game is virtually just FOC and DOTM combined. Literally. Same assets and everything.


I have a hard time seeing them do away with PVP multiplayer [could just be that there isnt any trophies/achievements for it] but honestly, given how rushed and cheap and lame this game looks it REALLY wouldnt surprise me if they did do away with it.

Bummed to hear that PvP won't be returning, but still looking forward to the games release.

 

It only proves that there is no trophies for pvp

I don´t know who thinks this 4 trophies are not PvP trophies, but he needs an optics check

 

Not that I haven't enjoyed playing with and against you all in some wonderful online play, I am really okay with this. Sometimes I really just want to pop in a game that doesn't require somebody else to enjoy.
