I typed it in a hurry. :L Still looking similar to FOC but thankfully this at least looks much better than the Bumblebee trailer. Megatron appears to have some new melee moves and the transformation at the end looks pretty sweet. Also, at 0:17 he's fighting FOC Optimus in a room full of dead Autobot soliders. Honestly, I think the game itself looks good, I just think that the trailers aren't doing it justice. Anyway, no matter how the campaign turns out, Escalation should be great.

Okay, so from all the trailers and screenshots released thus far we know we have... An AOE Optimus Level A FOC Optimus Level An AOE Bumblebee Level An AOE Grimlock Level A FOC Jetfire Level A FOC Megatron Level A FOC Insecticon Level And Possibly a FOC Swindle Level too so already more missions than the DOTM tie-in which is good.
Looks good so far. I'm excited and ready to play. Any confirmation on Capture the flag? Can't wait! This series gets better every year.
so they're going to make another game set between chapter 10 and 11 that they never mention again in FOC?
I know, I looked at them carefully. The Jetfire and Insecticon footage from the reveal trailer are definitely not from Escalation and I don't think Swindle is either.
Am I the only one who thinks this looks really awful? The graphics and scenery are pretty much the same as the ones in FoC/DoTM, and the model seems to be literally copy-pasted from the previous game. How is this acceptable in any way, especially in a game that is supposedly going to be released for the Xbox One and the PS4? Are we supposed to accept no graphical evolution in 4 years just because it's the War/Fall universe?
A cross generation game isn't going to look a whole lot better on current gen. Just expect it to run at a higher resolution, have a higher/steadier frame rate, zippier loading times, more high-res textures, less texture pop-in and in general just run a lot smoother. I agree with what people are saying that the Cybertron environments look the same as FOC but the Earth environments are definitely not taken from DOTM.
How about you stop thinking about your stupid graphical fidelity? Think out of the bounds abit. Reusing perfectly fine assets from the previous games is a great move in my opinion because it gives them the opportunity to create an ungodly amout of content for this game because they are not that limited anymore when it comes to assets/creation of assets. This game will have over 40 (!!!!!!!) playable characters goddammit. It will probably have more content than WFC and FOC combined. The way I see it, this game has the potential to be the best Transformers multiplayer experience since Revenge of the Fallen. We will probably get a large amout of maps and weapons (all the maps/weapons from the FOC + new ones) and a much improved escalation mode aswell as a character variety that is unheard of + some really awesome features that only hardcore multiplayer titles like Unreal Tournament or Halo have, like mutators (which have already been confirmed, btw). This game gets me really excited. This could be the Unreal Tournament 2004 of Transformers games.
I agree with you about the graphic fidelity. But there might not be as much content as the last games. It is not known if competitive MP is returning, if that is the case, the game will have less content. I really hope it does return however and the 40+ playable characters is awesome. Let's hope for the best!
