I'm waiting for their Ultimetal Megatron  

 

My wallet can not know about Ultimetal Megatron until its too late.  

 

Since it doesn't transform, they should have given AT a sculpted or even a cloth cape. That one looks goofy.

 

How does 14.5cm compare with the likes of mp10?

 

It's about half the size at 5.7 inches.

 

My ONLYissue with this is that it's Alpha Trion.

I'm all for posable TF collectibles but I'd rather someone more suited to action poses than AT

 

It's articulation seems very limited

 

Shame.

I NEED this. I just wish it was cheaper, and had a more fabric-looking cape. That cape looks kinda silly, especially with the tabs down the middle. Oh well. I'll still probably buy it, just because I really want an Alpha Trion figure that's cartoon-accurate, and since we've never seen him transform in the G1 cartoon, I don't mind that he doesn't transform.

 

I wasn't expecting this to be so articulated. Very cool! Personally I like the cape. I'm not a big fan of cloth pieces on plastic figures. I was planning on getting AFT-07 Titanium Saint, but I might go with this instead.

 

Detail looks soft and ill-defined in places. Which means it will probably be expensive, but not worth the money. Love the face sculpt, pivot-cape, and trade-out heads, but overall I'm fairly meh on this one.

 

What is he going for and who is selling him?

I'm sure most of the usual online toy places will import him. As for the cost, the quoted 9,800 yen price converts to about $96 usd currently, so that's a starting price, probably will be more. He is scheduled for release August 2014.
