Ok every rumored figure from that leaked oct listing has been confirmed aoe and generations. I have no doubt we will see them at toyfair. But which series?jefire imho can only be g1 and with megs getting a new mode in the comic that might be logical. I want an armada megs myself but it would suck to have an armada leader megs with a deluxe starscream. Is there any jefires in the comics right now? And is there a pic of the new megatron from idw? Thoughts?

Man that would be a waste, hope that's not the case, but considering how they said the movie figures would show up in the Generations line, that could very well be true.

 

Probably G1 for both...but my hope is that it will somehow be G1 Jetfire and BW Megatron.

 

I'd say it'll likely be Megatron's current IDW body. Which is very G1esque tank.

 

We've never gotten a five-year old redeco as a Leader, so I'm fairly optimistic. They've been doing a little style-mixing in the Voyager assortments too.

 

It could be quite a few things but with the comic going the way it appears to be going, my money is on a G1 inspired Megatron with a tank alt mode.

Though Leader Class will be weird for him, too big for Classics, and possibly too small for Masterpiece. Not quite sure where he'd fit in scale wise. Alternators maybe?

 

Omg if the jetfire is g1/idw then i am so making a super starscream custom out of him. G1 meets galaxyforce  

 

Too...small for Masterpiece? My Leader OP is bigger than any of my Masterpieces.

Scale in the comics is, ah, let's say fluid enough for it to work either way. After all the guy is the size of Overlord, and he got LARGER when he got his new tank body from his already extremely large "stealth" body.

 

IDW new body, close enough as an MP substitute for now.   Hope it is and we get a Galvatron some time to match.

 

Jetfire could go one of three ways
1-rotf repaint ing1 deco akin to gdo starscream and ironhide (yawn)
2-cartoon accurate Skyfire (crosses fingers)
3-they make the Robotechiest motherfucker that ever Macrossed, just to piss off Harmony Gold (schadenfreudetastic)

as for Megatron, my own personal hope is for a Beast Machines Megatron, based on a voyager TM2 Megatron body, with the BM Control harness beefing him up to leader sized. although I wouldnt be opposed to an Armada Megatron, especially since that's a mere hop skip and retool away from becoming idw Fort Max

 

As much as I'd love that, I don't think Bandai/Arcadia/Studio Neu/BigWest would be happy. But it would be nice to have a big, durable Valkyrie figure that wouldn't cost over $100.

I kinda doubt it will be a Beast Wars Megs since there's a rumored Grimlock redeco of Megatron. The tank mode seems viable since they've been cross-promoting the comics so much lately. As for Jetfire, I hope that it's bleeding G1 and comes with armor. I really like the Classics voyager Jetfire (easily the best Voyager of the trio), but I wouldn't thumb my nose at a better one.

Really, if MP and 3P weren't absolutely killing it right now I think a lot more people would be more excited for the Generations line. Now if only I were insanely rich...

 

I'm also betting on a G1-esque "Skyfire" Jetfire (to avoid pissing off Harmony Gold) and a IDW Tank Megatron.

Hopefully Megs will be close enough to MP height to be a stand-in for awhile.

 

Jetfire is kinda random to be honest but I'm 100% sure that Megatron is going to be the new IDW tank.

I hope it's any version EXCEPT IDW, then maybe we can call this line Generations.

 

I don't have a leader Meagatron in any toyline yet. Looking forward to seeing what they put out.
