So... Who are they, really?

 

I've got a feeling that Assaultmaster is Clouder / Doubleclouder based on the gold on the chest and the fact that what looks like the human form of Clouder is shown in the artwork on the boxback.

The other three - no idea. Tankmaster might be Brawl - he's always had a Brawlish design and that's G2 Brawl's deco - we've got G2s in the line and all. Marinemaster comes with Rotobolt as a Minicon - Rotobolt = Rotorforce? As in, Mantaray? Though the colours look more like Seawatch. Buildmaster is going to be a joker - he could be a Constructicon, or he could be someone else entirely. My gut tells me he'll be a left-fielder.

 

So, my question to you would be: Did you breakdown and buy Hercules and/or Giant? Cause they aren't "Devastator" either...

I actually really like thinking of these guys as all original characters. They're just not similar enough to any G1 characters to warrant the connection.

But as drones and larger teams, very nice idea. Extra Stunticons and Constructicons... fantastic.

 

As nice as the decos are... definite pass. Only got PCCs in the first place since they were clearanced. Really, nice scouts... *horrible* limbs. Limbs are turds... simply put.

While you can polish a turd... but at the end of the day... it's still a turd.

 

The Heavytread and Undertow repaints look nice.

 

Is the Rotobolt minicon partnered with Marine Master clear blue plastic? Interesting if so, I figured all of the minicons released as part of this would end up in normal plastic since I thought that's what all of the others were so far (I don't have them in hand so I'm just going off of pics I've seen online).

If I find the heavytread repaint set for a good price I'll definitely grab it. I love that figure.

Also why with the small pics. Its almost like any pics from Asian countries have to bee too small as a prereq.

 

Tankmaster has to be Quake right? RIGHT?  

 

The white boat might be Waver, since we have already seen some Victory characters.

Tempted by the Tankmaster/Marinemaster set. Those are the two best PCC molds, in my opinion. Like others, I'm curious about which pre-existing characters these are actually meant to represent (Waver does seem likely, the colors match).

I really want that Undertow mold redeco'd as Manta Ray, so while this looks nice it still seems like a missed opportunity.

I've decided that Quake is just one of those forgotten characters. There have been at least three or four molds over the last few years that would have made great Quake redecos, and he's just never shown up. Which is a shame, as he has a good name and interesting colors.

Me too! Not even a DevyGreen repaint of the quite nice Steamhammer will manage to lure me in. The drone concept is just too silly. Money saved, YAY!

 

They definitely look different, almost not Transformers looking in a way. But still they would be cool to own.
