Hopefully when they said Multiplayer stuff will be released soon, they mean in one of the next two videos.
"Vortex adds another layer that complicates combat in an interesting way: He can flip from walking, a jet, and a chopper" Is this seriously a hot new feature in the game........he can flip?????
It's no different than starscream or any other jet in wfc robot mode, hovering jettish shape in second mode, and with the boost engaged the form slightly changes and it takes on the full jet mode. Vortex is no different than that. Although now they seem to be trying to hype it as new and make him seem to be a triple changer.
The only thing that a single, 1-player story does that makes me hopeful is that it could actually make these previously interchangeable characters into actual individuals. What they need to have to fill in the other end of the size spectrum is a Frenzy/Rumble level, where you're spying on Autobots, and get to tiptoe around the feet of giants.
I wonder if Vortex's toy will have the jet mode, or if he will be able to transform into something that resembles the jet...
That's sort of what I was thinking! Maybe do some other tweaks, but I think that's basically all you would need to do!
Hmm.. this video showed me something I didn't notice before. In the IGN video, Optimus switches his weapon from his right arm to his left arm! Meaning, aiming is interchangeable, something that was really necessary in WFC, imo! But it's gotta look a little weird seeing a giant weapon jump from one arm to the other. Hopefully they'll smooth that out somehow.
I wish tfw2005 would stop posting links to IGN. That website is an abomination, just take a look at the amount of crap it tries to suck in to just load the page. For those with any kind of privacy or security tools running it is a massive pain to get anything but black. For the rest it is a bandwidth and time hog downloading all the tracking scripts and content.
I've known for a while that we were gonna be able to switch gun arms, so that wasn't really a surprise for me. I do agree on the transition, though. Maybe take a moments pause from firing while the gun transforms away on the one arm, then transforms back out on the other?
