BTS Toys released the following teaser images for their upcoming new release. Looks like we're getting an updated design on the cassette player mode New images, robot mode together with G1 cassettes:
Ambitious! Hopefully this is better-timed than the Reflector releases that are flying at us. Don't feel a need for an unofficial product with Cybertronian Soundwave around, but I'll certainly follow this project with interest. If by some miracle they offer a high-quality figure for a bargain price (not ragging on them, it's just that this is REALLY HARD) I'll take another look.
I'm hoping the final product is sharper than that grey prototype shows, though. That's kinda rough and hand-sculpted looking.
Hmm... depending on the price, I may go with Soundwave here instead of TFClub's Devy, since as the Constructicons are being released individually, there's a small chance they might not all get released and I'll end up with a Devastator that looks like Cotton from King of the Hill.
Looks pretty cool. Not sure it will replace ML Soundwave for my Classics stuff though (A figure I don't actually have yet). Wait what? BTS is doing a Reflector too? I know that both PerfectEffect and TFClub are doing them... I had no idea there was a 3rd version in the works.
He didn't say anything about BTS doing a Reflector. He's just commenting that he's hoping there isn't the same conflict of timing with this guy as there is with Reflector, what with Hasbro doing theirs, PE theirs, and TFClub theirs. We'll see what happens. PE had a Soundwave-looking concept in the works, too. All we've seen of that is a silhouetted teaser, though.
I've been waiting for something that was an equivelant of an MP Soundwave, but if it looks like that, I might have to consider getting this
