Rumor : Transformers 3 Bumblebee To Be A Convertible?

    Rumors are coming in that; Transformers 3 Autobot Bumblebee would be a Chevrolet Camaro Convertible 2011.

    Tmurphycardesign of the Camaro5.com forums, claim to have seen the new Bumblebee.

    Coincidentally, GM officially revealed (two days ago on April 14th) teaser pictures of the new Camaro Convertible due to release on year 2011.

    To support the rumor even further more, an abandoned concept art for Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen Bumblebee clearly shows a Camaro Convertible Alternate Mode.

    Is this the “Upgraded” Bumblebee, Scott Benza and Scott Ferrar from Industrial Light & Magic were talking about?

    Okay. I have three unreasonable hatreds. Pennies, Nickleback and Convertables. And there's two things I have unreasonable love for. Yellow and Robots. I don't know what to think.

    Um...the guy at Camaro5 doesn't say it is a convertable. Someone else asks that, but he never answers. He doesn't say anything about it other than he "saw it" and that it looks "more designed," whatever that means.

    Shooting starts soon and I am sure we will get a ton of spy pictures that will either confirm or disprove this rumor.

    As long as he stays yellow..I remember seeing red Bumblebee concepts for TF2 and thought 'are they really going to do this?'.

    It's possible, for sure. I remember that they were seriously considering Bumblebee be a convertible for ROTF.
    I'm not sure if I'm a fan of the idea though. I feel like the alternate mode is a representation, and actual part of the character. If the alternate mode keeps changing, I feel like the character itself is in a constant state of flux.

    I think Bumblebee would look cool as a convertable... Might make a great translation into a toy as well.
