    The All New "Hey Roberto" Thread - Page 967 - Don Murphy Message Board

    This post was made by Bob Orci on his "Hey Roberto!" thread on Don Murphy's boards. He confirms Ehren Kruger will be the writer though he hints that he and Alex may consult with him here and then, but the duo will not be involved officially with the project.

    I'm a bit saddened, I thought they did a great job in TF1 even though the strike hindered their contributions to ROTF.

    oh snap. that's kind of a shame, i think. the lame script wasn't entirely their fault, and they are capable of such awesome stuff. oh well, i hope Ehren is up to the challenge. we need a damn good movie.

    At least they have a duo of good writers out of this slag piece of a movie franchise. It's a pity talents like Cullen, Welker, and Weaving have to be in for the third part.

    Although they should've finished the trilogy, I'll be optimistic about TF3 and welcome the new writer.

    I hope I don't regret saying this, but what's the worse that can happen?

    From the sounds of post-ROTF interviews, they didn't have the best experience working on the film (partly due to the rushed time frame and apparently conflicting interests with Bay).

    I wish them well on their new Star Trek franchise.

    Well Kruger is not technically new since he did co write ROTF... Orci said he and Kurtzman DID hand pick him, so I don't think the film will go into bad hands.

    Well...this could either be a good thing or a bad thing.

    It'd be a good thing if Bay got kicked off the director's chair, but that's just a pipe dream.
