The parts count, clear windsheild, screw sizes and holed fists lead my to believe that this is in fact a deluxe. Although, CONTINUITY ERROR! His horn/chevron isn't broken, yet he has the war wound. wat Also, I hate it when they mess up the faces like that, though we already know what he looks like. The forward treads deffinately look to have to fold in, there's even a spot for them. Shame they couldn't have cast his feet in white and ahve them fold down instead.

As elated as I am about getting even more new Animated molds, I have to admit that I would have vastly preferred a few more Con characters and/or better size classes being added to the mix instead of what feels like non-stop Autobots. For example, I personally think Samurai Prowl, Elite Guard Bumblebee, the rumored Golefire Grimlock, that submarine Bumblebee thing, the tentative upcoming jetpack Prime, and this Cybertron version of Ratchet/Ironhide could have & should have been replaced by a vehicle mode of Wasp, more (Voyager) Starscream clones, Mixmaster, Scrapper and a bigger version of Lugnut. Comparitively speaking, the Cons seem to be getting the short end of the stick in this series. Just an observation - not a bitchy rant or anything.
I guess the "wound" slot is there so you can peg in the EMP from Lockdown yourself, thus allowing you to right that continuity wrong in the comfort of your own home. There's an extra playability feature for you! Still, this figure looks a little unfinished to me, and I don't just mean the mush-face... Compared to the animation model, the toy could still use quite a lot of extra shoulder-padding, and his crotch is looking a little over-exposed too (did I just type that?). Perhaps there are a few panels missing? If not, then it's slightly disappointing...I'd still buy it if they ever got round to Ironhiding it, though. I can understand your opinion here, but do you seriously believe there was ever any possibility of a larger Lugnut happening? We've already had all three Leader-class Animated moulds, and they were well-used on Bulkhead (the headline "big guy" Autobot), Megatron (the supreme leader of the Decepticons) and Ultra Magnus (the supreme leader of the Autobots). If there was ever a chance of a Leader Lugnut mould, it would have had to have been produced instead of, one of those toys rather than in addition to them, and much as I love the guy, it's not worth it for a second-tier henchman character.
I like. Want Ironhide. The face isn't scratched so we don't know what it looks like, its scratched to discourage selling it on the secondary market.
No alt mode pics? Totally agree with you here, the Autobots are outnumbering the Cons on my shelf. I'd love to see some Constructicon toys, but I think I'm done with the Starscream clones. I know there are still more in the toon, but we've gotten enough already.
The shoulders clearly rotate upwards and it looks like the treads go inside the stomach for a bulkier torso.

Odd, he doesn't have the straps across his upper chest like on the show model, which one of the biggest differences in his robot mode. Slightly disappointing. Still, providing his waist is slightly mistransformed as is postulated, I like. If it's not mistransformed, them it's merely "okay" in my books.
