This isn't exactly new.
He's been talking about it on his twitter for awhile.

Seems like this could've been one of those plot points for season 4 that were dropped. Cool animation model though.

Agreed. Sure, a lot of us have read the spoilers, but that's no reason to just blurt this one as plenty of peeps are trying to stay spoiler free.

 

doubt it, Wyatt's just trying to cheer up the sad/angry fans over his death. Keep in mind the beating spark was removed because it was probably going to be a plot point for season 4 as Wyatt pointed out on his twitter page, Blurr could return in a future season but he won't return in season 3, and as there most likely will not be another season, the spark was removed since the writers thought its better to have him dead, rather than have his crushed body laying around in a trash heap, never to be seen or mentioned again in this series.

 

Derrick speculates that the spark wasn't animated because it was too small of a detail.

I actually was reliefed when Blurr met his unfortunate fate, not because i didnt like the character (I liked him a lot, actually). It showed me the writers had the balls to kill of off a character for real. Then comes the ******ed "Yeah, his body is destroyed, but his spaaaaaark..." and that extra bit of appreciation is gone now.
I mean what's the point if even compracting a bot into a trashcube cant destroy it? The bots could just as well be giving each other noogies and it would be just as effective. The show is losing all its dramatic effect this way.

And beside Blurr dieing doesn't really bother me. It's that Blurr didn't really get a lot screen time in the first place. This just basically destroys all hope of seeing more of him.

 

I don't care about his screen time all that much. As long as he's alive and they show it in the cartoon, I'm happy.
