About as tall as movie deluxe 08 Camaro Bumblebee. You can use that as your guide as to its size.

Well, based on the comparison picture with Alternity Convoy and Concept Bumblebee at the Tokyo Show, I would guess that they would be on par with the Classics, if not a bit larger (like between Voyager and Deluxe sizes)

Awww...great. Someone beat me to it....oh well.
Moving on, I see that this site lists the price as 3500 yen....but I thought the price was like 4500. What's going on?? Or is it 4700 yen like it says in the small text? How confuzzling...

It means the real car is 32 times bigger than the toy. You take the real cars demensions and divide by 32 and you get the toys dimensions. As a side note 3.75 inch figures are 1/18 scale.

Hmm, sounds interesting actually now. Official scale and die-cast. Although this makes the 4 upcoming BT releases a little confusing to me. Maybe they are just finally putting out convoy in metal for BT and using the Decepticharge version of the s2000. I don't know!

I hope the die-cast metal works out.

I think the different reports about pricing have more to do with different retailers putting up preorders for the figure without having a lot of concrete information about it. Than, of course, if you're looking at pricing from an import store... everone on here always seems to forget that you're not actually getting it for the 3500 yen retail, but at the import store's markup price (you know... to cover shipping to the US plus so they can make a little profit?).

Not too sure if I fancy the idea of this to be honest.

The size doesn't bother me, if fact a little smaller would mean I can fit more on my desk :)

The automorph feature annoys me greatly however. It never seems to do anything but get in the way of a really good figure. I seriously hope it is kept to a minimum. Binaltech didn't need automorph, Masterpiece didn't need it, I would imagine collectors prefer to have complex and interesting transformations rather than 2 two alt-to-bot mode figures.

    Seems just daft.

Weird, I always thought Automorph was the one Transformers gimmick that actually didn't get in the way of the figure. Transforming movie Ironhide and 08 Bumblebee for the first time was amazing.

Also, small diecast toys always = big bucks in Japan.

So scale is official. That's interesting. What's annoying is the fact that they've now gone for a scale that would free up the line to be more interesting than just cars (1:32 scale tanks and trucks could be done easily) and they start it off with Convoy... As a car. A proper 1:32 scale approximation of Masterpeice Prime, or even a new movie-styled truck with a more G1 inspired look would have been so much better.

I still need to know if this is a new line or a one-off though.

Coolness, I'm not going to presume it's a full line for now though. It could just be a promotional thing like what they did with Mazda's RX-8 where there was a character colour (Mesiter in white) and a Mazda colours version in red.

That can't be right can it? Alternators are about 5-6 inches and they're 1/24 scale. They'd have to be bigger than an alternator toy to be 1/18

It was hit or miss. Blackout would have been waaay better without it. And as for Masterpeice and Binaltech being examples of toys that didn't need it, I would argue that some of those toys could have used it to make them less frustrating and/or fragile to transform. Does no one remember the hell transforming Binaltech/Alt Smokescreen for the first time? Took me a half hour.
