In case you didn't know, Magnificus was an e-HOBBY redeco of the original G1 Perceptor based on it's Micro Change colors. He was later repurposed as SG Perceptor.

Will it be the Magnificus deco? Will it have the faceplate?

 

I would assume it’s not an SG figure, but rather just a release that can double as an SG figure like Vanguard, DK-3, and Blue Bluestreak.

EDIT: Seens I was right since we now know it has a Decepticon insignia.

Nice, also for those that don't know this is where our first look at Velocitron IDW Blurr, Legacy Minerva, Velocitron wave 2 Crasher, SS86 Ironhide came from.

I will be interest to see it, I still hope for a IDW repaint/retool. Hope it has a faceplate that's my main want with this figure.

 

Ooh, interesting. Considering it's the only character that Perceptor could really be repainted into without some pretty significant remolds, I think we were all expecting a Magnificus at some point. Here's hoping he's got the Diaclone/toy-accurate head with the mouthplate.

 

Better at least have the mouth plate head. Otherwise I'm hard passing on this. Magnificus has been a major want for me for sometime, but he needs that mouth plate for me to even think about using it as him.

I have room for exactly one actual SG figure after this recent set (including the yet to be revealed Soundwave), and that's Windblade. But if that ever happens it'll be a ways off. I guess Thundercracker too but that's Action Master colors to me, not SG.

 

Please just let him be selects. I already customed my own and my completionism would force me to buy the SG one...

Am I doing the conversion right and I can buy a stolen Crankcase, which at the glacial pace of Legacy releases won’t hit until sometime early next year, for $33 and shipping? I assumed these would all be at least double their retail cost for stolen samples of unreviewed figures.

I mean I’m not going to do it, but when you still can’t buy Legacy wave 2 in the US you kind of scratch your head and go ‘$10 markup on a deluxe to skip 6 months of waiting isn’t bad if it wasn’t for the whole receiving stolen property thing’.

 

Wish these sg fella’s were easier to get in Canada.
