I love that shade of blue, it would really pop if the orange-yellow parts from Hoist were swapped onto him. The robot mode on this mold looks good but the alt mode is completely let down by those sickly thin wheels/tires that belong on a model T ford, and the fact that it\'s completely hollow where the engine block and front axle should be. I get that they were basically trying to keep the original G1 toys transformation pattern intact but the final product suffers from that slavish dedication.
Should I? I mean, it\'s cheaper than the original ER Trailbreaker by nearly half the price. At the same time, though, I\'m working on a G1 show collection, and this one isn\'t the right colors to be show accurate. So, is it worth it just to have a Trailbreaker if it\'s not the right one?
That’s a very nice blue IMHO. Don’t collect the Diaclone recolors but if I did I’d like this accuracy (if any issues) aside.
I agree the Diaclone head would have been nice, but what really would be nice is paint on the damn wheels. We never seem to get past this fully no matter who's in charge but it's clear post-Warden this is going to become a major cheapout again. If you notice a lot of earlier Diaclone releases didn't have this problem and now suddenly there are several that do despite extremely minimal paint elsewhere (including solid camper windows which looks cheap and atrocious as well). I really like these releases but just let TakaraTomy do their thing again for the fan lines in order to give us who are willing to pay for it better options. A line like Selects doesn't need to include corner cutting to be successful. He has less paint than Trailbreaker.

Happy to see the rumors were true about Diaclone Blue Trailbreaker. Will be happy to replace my custom version. Hoping for a Diaclone Yellow Trailbreaker soon as well, maybe they can call him "Trail" since the Blue one is called "Breaker" Yellow paint is very difficult for customizing, so an official version would be much better.
Easy preorder. I\'ll come up with a better name for it at some point. I\'m still keeping my fingers crossed for an eventual Yellow version with the toy head, preferably as a Decepticon.
