My god that knee is the worst piece of engineering I have seen since the RID Warriors. Alt mode is way too big, though. I want to stretch and call it a minivan but it's not very "mini." Anyone have a picture of ER Ironhide/Ratchet next to Optimus in their alt modes? Just going by my Siege Crosshairs and Optimus together, Skids is bigger than them in his alt mode and is near Masterpiece size which just weird. Now reconsidering my idea of getting the upcoming Burnout.

And going further into the review, I forgot why PvP is someone I only use for early reviews. Saying Skids's block on his head and hollowness reminds him of Prime Wars when only the Legends toys had something resembling that as far as I remember nor was there anything quite as hollow. Nah, that's just Legacy bringing a new lower standard for head sculpts and back the old ways of FOC/RID'15.

 

Hoping in store soon.

 

He's a good size, I was a bit worried he'd be small compared to the existing figures. It's annoying that we've still not gotten pictures of both guns plugged into the wrists, though.

While this does show off that a decent chunk of the hollowness of the robot mode (primarily the legs) is due to the transformation necessitating it, it still looks pretty bad. I wonder how the inevitable gap filler sets will handle it all?

 

I think it looks fine. Good articulation, a few hollow spots in the wrong parts but aside from that, a passable figure.

I'm more interested in how that axe works with Siege Chromia.

With how many carbots with fronts of cars that they've already produced, it's laughably bad that they felt it was ok to have a square on the back of Skid's head to be part of his vehicle mode hood.  

The hollowness in his legs we knew about as well, so that bothers me less, but his head just looks really freaking bad to me.

 

I can't wait for tomorrow's PvP's Legacy Motormaster review.

 

His head looks better in hand to me but still IDK why they did that and I kind of hope they retool that for Reboost and Crosscut (the version of this mold I actually want).

Yeah the block behind the head killed my interest outright (I think it was intentional sabotage, since the MP was released at the same time), otherwise I think it looks fun.

 

Why would Hasbro intentionally sabotage there own product that’s in a completely different price and product segment. Also this is a mass retail item that will be on shelves while the Mp isn’t even released in the states except for online. That makes no sense

Legacy seems to be off to a meh start so far to me. Build quality and all that seems to be still pretty good but engineering seems to be taking a dip with how this guy, Bulkhead and Laser Prime's shoulders.

 

This is perfect! Well not quite… I could do without the block on the head lol. That being said I still love this little fella so I’m excited for him. If he’s getting reviews (even if they’re not gotten in the traditional way) I feel like the release can’t still be July. I’m preparing for March/ Aprilish. Sick. Can’t wait.

 

What's the problem with Prime's shoulders?

 

They don't seem to move with the hinges connection them to the chest, they got flaps instead.
