If these figures looked as good as their art, my wallet would really be in trouble.

Oh, come on. Please don't get into that issue here. We all know who he is and what the deal is. Please let's just move on before it turns into another one of *those* threads.

I'm more excited for the character to be in the tv movie than this toy to be honest.

Honestly someone should just lock this thread before y’all get into another blood war over the name of a damn toy. Looks good though.

    Nope. Posters should learn this:

There should be a zero-tolerance policy for posting in such a manner. Joking is fine (to a degree), keeping it on topic is fine, but things like Slag/Slug should be an automatic thread ban and a message stating why they got kicked from it. They're tired of having to police adults, the rest of us are tired of watching these threads turn into a dumpster fire because one person wants to watch the world burn and the rest of us don't. There's a difference between "Who is that?" and "HAY U GUYES!" and this whole Slag/Slug thing is a giant effin' "HAY U GUYES!".

I'm sick of it. I'm so sick of it.

Now, on topic with the toy itself...

It looks REALLY dang good. I just can't get into animated aesthetics anymore. I like the boxy, ornate, greebly (to a degree) designs we're getting out of SS86 (SS proper, as well), and WFC. Animated had its time in the sun and hasn't aged well in my eyes. (For the time though... Man, those figures looked amazing.) Slag, here, looks like he's one of those... I do hope it's a really cool figure, though. I know some of you have been waiting for these and I hope they succeed.

Have to say, Hasbro's really going for the Dinobot love lately. I'm surprised.

Looks like it could be decent, did any other Dinobots get announced for this pricepoint?

Currently I think it's just Grim and Slug, although we could get more if there are additional waves.

Deluxe Grimlock was not a good figure. Hopefully this one turns out a lot better.

Ignoring the actual quality of the different toys, the packaging from the 1980s gives off an aura of quality and coolness that the new Cyberverse packaging does not. And the 1980s packaging was aimed at the same age of child as the new Cyberverse packaging is, so there's no argument of the old releases being for adult collectors as such a thing did not exist back then. I also don't like how you can barely see the toy in the Cyberverse box as its covered up by artwork despite there still being a lot of empty space at the top.
