Russian store's website "Детский Мир"/"Child's world" showed Cyberverce Adventures Dinobot Unite Wheeljack and Grimlock pack. And what is most surprising is that these are photos from the Russian store, and not the presence of this pack. It costs $50...
I haven't been paying attention to these that much. I assume that the naming scheme all follows a pants->shirt ordering? The smile on the combined-mode face is super creepy.
I suppose, but even then the name should be the still better sounding Wheellock (Wheeljack + Grimlock), not Wheelgrim, given the other combiners were Slugtron (Slug + Megatron) and Bumbleswoop (Bumblebee + Swoop). In all cases where the names more than one syllable it uses the first half of the pants and the latter half of the torso.
Slapping "Autobot" or whatever prefix at front doesn't actually let them trademark a name that can't be trademarked. It just lets them strengthen a trademark that may be deemed too weak otherwise.
I'm so obviously going to get this, but what's the story behind Wheeljack's head? The one I really want is the one on the back of the box. If I get Mr. Cleancut, I may have to sharpie his face or something.
this is real grim. Wheeljack's face looks like if you pulled on both of Mario's ears on the Super Mario 64 title screen as far as they will extend.
Combined mode looks like he has a chestburster coming out of him. All of a sudden I need a Xenomorph transformer
Regarding Grimjack, which would have a better name, it is already taken. I also saw that in 2019 the Russo Bros may have optioned it to do a live action adaptation. So odds are the name is locked up for some time.
i hate to break it to you but that’s how wheeljack looked in cyberverse. They were a bit long and angled.
The old crash combiner two packs were $15. Is Hasbro going for $30 this time? The novelty of these lasted about ten minutes for my son. The complete lack of articulation and over simplification killed any fun.
In fairness, these do like slightly more involved than the previous RiD2015 rendition of the gimmick. At least, the upper torso parts, which are also larger. RiD Crash Combiner halves were the same size. Legs look about the same. These guys actually have weapons.
