It seems that we will get the SS-38 with the Movies camouflage instead of the previously guessed SS-01 as the PF SS-02?

Interesting to see TT also releasing the BW reissues. Wondering if they'll be released in the same western style packaging or if they'll go with remakes of the OG Japanese boxes.

 

Yeah I'm surprised at that too.

 

I doubt they do their own thing here, otherwise they'd fix Megatron and really hurt the appeal of the Hasbro version even further.

I'd assume they'll be the same, packaging and all, as Hasbro's. Though different packaging would be neat.

 

Yeah I reckon so too. Which would be a bit weird though, as there wouldn't be any nostalgia for Western packaging. Guess we'll find out for sure tomorrow.

 

Maybe there will be interest in the vintage packaging from another area? Kind of like how western collectors enjoy vintage packaging from Japan despite not growing up with it? Not sure how things like that do in Japan.

This might actually be the first time one of our vintage lines ever gets a proper release in Japan. It would be neat to see the old style Takara Beast Wars boxes return, but that's probably not how they're going to handle these.
