Hmm, concept is good. I don't have Ironhide, but would consider for Ratchet.

 

Are these 3D printed? The pix look a bit rough, but I see sprues on the bumper...

oh wait are the feet partsformed? Ugh

 

I'm confused how the feet work.

makes van look better some of pieces in bot Morley are useless to use

I figured it out, these partsform slightly as you have to flip them to have a curved vehicle back and flat feet. They probably could've done it like @LazyEyebrow, but it still works.

 

Tempting, as long as it's not 3d printed.

 

I think 115-UTOPIA's kits are usually 3D-printed and the sprue for the bumper is 3D-printed, too.

The front half of the feet does definitely partsform as the right half of the rear window becomes the front half of the left foot and same goes for the other side.

 

I prefer them over LazyEyebrow's because they are not that flat and have the extra width due to the added taillights.

I guess they just stole his design but improved it like other companies as Black Mamba and so on usually do it.

Don't mind the partsforming, but I do hope the windows are painted black to match; although that would affect the robot mode's look.

Yea, I'm still indecisive if I should paint his windows on his shins or not and if yes, black or blue? Black would definitely look better in 'bot mode which is the mode mine will spend the most time in and they could be toned black.

if you saw his video on it, he originally bought a 3D printed kit for the feet and didn’t like it. He designed his from scratch after that. They look and function completely differently.

Shame, that they didn\'t make the effort to finish Ironhide.   I hope they have a better version coming in the future.   Maybe Studio series.  Would be nice if he is a Voyager.

 

my hopes are on a voyager Bumblebee Movie Ironhide or 3rd party Voyager Ironhide. As I understand it, Hasbro has no plans for a Voyager G1 Ironhide  

So we will have to put up with an official Ironhide that is just a bit too short and light weight for the foreseeable future.

 

It's about budget, not effort. As with Netflix Soundwave's arms you only get to remold so many pieces of the figure while keeping the toy under the allowed production budget.

 

As the WfC trilogy and Studio Series 86 deliver the characters of the G1 show and 86 movie it's unlikely that we'll get the same characters in both lines. Hot and Rodimus Prime are of course obvious exceptions.

 

@Black Convoy You may want to be careful about putting 115 kits on the front page. Their kits have awful fit and QC issues...like not working out the box.

 

And DNA kits have a history of stressing plastic and breaking the toy and shockwave labs colors don’t match, and every MP of the last 5 years have been muddled with QC issues and paint apps get missed on a lot of official stuff as well as having QC issues here and there on CHUG and blast effects come warped. BLAH BLAH BLAH etc etc etc.

If they took every issue to heart this and every site wouldn’t exist because they wouldn’t have anything to post
