These guys have gotta be the most hilarious, entertaining rivals of all time. They just can't NOT try to steal each other's thunder.

Looks good for a preliminary prototype though! And if their Devastator doesn't pants-form like MS's, they'll definitely have my attention.

Honestly if they had done something like release a pic of a Rodimus figure they would have gotten more of my interest.

he looks a little busy for me but if this devy is better i will grab it.

as far as pants forming goes sometimes it is necessary to have a sick ass combined mode.

also...a lot of parts generally means a lot of bucks when it comes to NA.

The moment they use fake parts on a combiner, the moment I start losing interest quickly.

I agree, but small figures with lots of parts. What can you do?

I prefer details on my figures, flat surfaces don't do anything for me...

This looks like they're way behind MS on a complete Devastator, but looking good so far for a weird black and white bigfoot image

Magic announced Dev a while back, so I think Newage would surely prioritize the Constructicons after Menasor

I personally feel it is the other way arround. Mst came before and since new age is bigger and generally more popular they want to crush mst.

Going back to this announcement, I am not impressed by this new age image. Sure it seems articulated but....
Maybe it was not ready to be shown but the hate know what it wants;)

Still would have preferred a different bot

it is a hard call. these days to get a great combiner you need pants so that one bot isnt a sacrificial lamb that is totally fucked up for the sake of combination.

i mean just look at some of the best looking combiners that are out now. almost all are pant-formers.

you have toyworld who is the king of the mountain. then you have gt/jinbao and their approach each way has pros and cons.

I disagree, there are very good looking combiner that doesn't use pants.

They sacrifice engineering and complexity for looks(?), and the end result is not that great either imo, because the pants or the suits lack detailing... not for me.

Take a look at CangToys, DST, OM and the new Zeta, they make good looking combiners that look great and don't use fake parts which make their designs even more impressive.

Fortunately there are options for everyone nowadays.

ITS HAPPENING!!! We are going to finally have a complete NA G1 S1 Decepticon set. I can’t wait for this. I haven’t had a Devastator since I was a kid.

My dx9 / mft set of constructicons is looking pretty dinky compared to the other guys on the shelf. Not super happy about waiting longer for more carbots from NA, but seeing a prototype of these guys makes me happy that maybe their stunticons are on the back burner. Didn’t need another set of those guys.
