So NewAge and MST back to dueling releases after the Galvatron surprise. I think I like MST feet better which is minor honestly. This may come down to whoever hits market first for me. Certainly I don’t think face sculpt will be a deciding factor. :p

Then I compared again and ironically the back of the NA head looks kind of hollow?

Well, obviously he's not a ballet dancer. :lol  Those are much better feet than on the MP.

Looking good. My MFT Shocky has been feeling pretty dated so I'm looking forward to replacing him with this guy.

Seeing them side by side now I’m leaning more MST. He just feels a bit more imposing in his torso. But I’m still kind of either/are.

I like the proportions of NA better. And the shape of the head. And it’s a given the paint and materials will be better with NA.

Hmm, it’s kind of sad that MS and NA keep releasing the same character, I’m done getting both versions.

These companies are too hilarious. They just can't stop trying to steal the microphone from each other.

"I'ma let you finish, but we're making the best legends Shockwave of all time. OF ALL TIME!!!"

je Like this, NA is good too, better for lines and curves, the knees also. But I think for the rest I prefer MS.

Hmmn, another close one. Magic Squares has a more beefy solid body that fits well with a lot of the cartoon portrayals and character model, but New AGe fits in with the more lanky sleek look of their Megatron.
I'm not a huge fan of the feet on New AGe's (look very similar to their Megatron feet and are a little thin for my taste). I prefer the bigger eye on the New Age version, but I'm not convinced about what os either a translucent arm cannon or maybe a purple chromed one? I think it's translucent? Either way, it looks wonky. I think I prefer the matching paint on Magic Squares.
It's safe to assume that the final Magic Square version will have a hose, though it's unlikely to have an alt mode stand.
Other pics are showing a mix of solid and translucent hands and a clear arm cannon on Magic Squares... again I prefer the opaque matching colour look. Hopefully, New Age offers both options as well.
I assume height will be pretty similar for both because they tend to match quite closely at the taller end of the scale.
Both look great in Alt mode, though I think Magic Squares looks a little cleaner.

There's no clear winner here for me. Reflector, Soundwave, Shockwave - they've all been too close to call between these two companies. Reflector at least had a great alt mode from NA and a great bot mode from MS so there was kind of a clear choice depending on what you wanted. But Soundwave and Shockwave are both almost neck and neck for me. I may have to do a double-dip and get one of each and then decide once they're in hand which gets alt and which gets bot on my shelf.

Still, its exciting times and great to have options.

    MST for me.
I love their figures and I've got an almost complete collection, now, but I genuinely dig their design more, in this case. More proportionate, clean and overall faithful to cartoon SW. Not huge on the head, though, it looks kinda squeezed to me, noticeably longer than it should be.

NA for me. MS head and torso proportions is too thick/chunky. plus i'm guessing MS will be a taller figure given their soundwave, and my main legend collection is all NA now.

I'll go for this one. I don't like the gaps of the last NA figures.

I'm just appealed by the consistency in their bot-mode designs... They seem to pretty much always nail the right balance between sculpted detail and overall 'cartoon' simplicity. It's not even a 'better/worse than...' kind of situation for me, I genuinely enjoy what they do.

That said, I'm a little worried by the absence of the arm cable/tube... I really hope it's been omitted for some reason, and not actually missing.

I can see this one fitting in, maybe fighting the MFT OS dinobots or IF Scorponok while the NA one is busy getting his ass beat by starscream.

well it looks like the appropriate pegs are there on the alt mode render for where the cable housing is supposed to plug into the arm and the back.
