Is it just me, or does this look like an upscaled mobile game?

It's a shame that Hasbro doesn't feel like doing anything but cheap stuff for transformers games anymore.

I think this is an instance where we definitely need to see more. From this short teaser it definitely has that vibe. Very simple designs and a smallish scale in perspective to the gameplay. I’d like to see more on what’s to offer.

 

It’s a start, even if it doesn’t look like much. But the ball needs to get rolling again with console games for Transformers.

 

At least they're attempting another console game. I'm not much of a gamer, but I was always one to get the new console TF games when they came out.

I just want a Transformers game but with TF2's gameplay style (I.E A FPS Multiple playable classes with unique play-Styles)

 

not impressed so far looks like a freemium mobile game or something, but will definitely wait to see more before giving judgement. More than happy to be proven wrong.

Finally a new Console game, for the first time in 5 years. But its a start.

 

This almost certainly is just going to be some kind of "Games-as-a-service" title that will involve microtransactions, just going off the fact this looks like a pretty generic mobile RTS like the infamous Evony or Game of War - Fire Age.

 

As many have said already, this trailer tells us nothing, other than it uses the Evergreen designs. From the perspective and (seemingly) small models and simple animations, I'd guess this might be something like a turn-based tactics game or MOBA.

EDIT: The news post doesn't mention this but the Outright Games website has the same blurb describing the game, but after the "central city to cybertron..." line it says "... and your local multiplayer arcade."

What does this mean? Is it saying the game will have local multiplayer (like splitscreen)? Or is it saying that the game is also going to be available as an arcade cabinet?

Not a whole lot to go on of course, but.. To me I was pretty immediately reminded of games like Xcom. Which are not my cup of tea at all, so if that proves true I guess this will be a pass for me. And be quite disappointing at that.
