Activision has updated their catalog of discontinued and no longer supported games. It is with great sadness that I report Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Transformers: Fall of Cybertron have made the list. Offline functionality will remain playable.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was a third-person shooter movie tie-in released June 23, 2009 by Luxoflux on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. Although criticized for it's mediocre campaign, the game is widely regarded by fans as the best Transformers game based on Michael Bay's films. The game is also praised for it's fun and amazing Multiplayer, unique game mechanics, and large array of playable characters. When logging into Online Play, players will receive the following message: "ONLINE SERVICES ARE CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE". It is important to mention that the Xbox 360 version Multiplayer servers are still up for some unknown reason. But we expect it to close down shortly.

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron (PS4, Xbox One) is a third person shooter released August 8th/9th, 2016 by Fun Labs. It was a port from the originally released Transformers: Fall of Cybertron by High Moon Studios back in 2012 on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC which also served as a sequel to 2010's Transformers: War for Cybertron. The port shared very minimal differences, with a 1080p resolution upscale and also being the base game before the inclusion of Multiplayer patches present in the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC versions. Upon logging into the Multiplayer servers, players will receive the following message: “ERROR - The TRANSFORMERS: Fall of Cybertron server is not available at this time. Please try again later.” Transformers: Fall of Cybertron is holds a great legacy within the Transformers franchise, both extremely iconic to fans and highly considered the best Transformers game ever. Again, please note that this refers to the PS4 and Xbox One versions. The PS3, Xbox 360, and PC Multiplayer servers are still up for now so hop on while you can.

Fuck. I loved Rotf multiplayer, so many memories

 

It was truly an amazing game. I absolutely could not handle how amazing it was to be a seeker, such a unique ability.

 

Don't give a damn about the multiplayer anyway.

 

You really missed out

That's a shame, but it comes for every retro game.

The Escalation mode was what I'll remember most.

 

I remember playing these a fair bit online... till cheating kinda took the fun out of it. I remember seeing characters with other classes skills etc. made for some real OP builds.

 

Damn. To me these were the two best Transformers games of all time. I actually replayed both of them last year! I had assumed the multiplayer was already down for both though and didn't attempt to play multiplayer but now I know for sure I can't   I really hope they make more games like these two in the future!

Sometimes multiplayer gives more fun to games how many times can you play single mission modes, multiplayer you will never know what to expect where to expect unpredictable

 

Alright lads. Let\'s start scraping this netcode and get some private servers going or however it is you guys do it.

 

Lame, I probably put too much time into those games for a time.

Kind of odd how the PC, 360 and PS3 servers are going to remain while the PS4 and Xbone servers are going down.

 

NOOOOOOO, my King Starscream on Fall of Cybertron. I really enjoyed playing Fall of Cybertron on the PS4. I really hope Certain Affinity will give an amazing Transformers experience. We are long overdue for a new Transformers game for the consoles. Don\'t let me down Certain Affinity.

I just woke up and saw this. I didn’t have my glasses either so I got excited thinking that they were re-releasing these two games but nope.

I’m surprised that the ROTF servers stayed open for as long as they did. And I figured Activision would’ve waited awhile longer to shut down the FOC servers since the game was just re-released 4 years ago.

 

Still a shame that Transformers War & Fall of Cybertron didn\'t get a full Remaster from Highmoon Studios or the third chapter so we got Deadpool.

 

LMFAO I remeb5spawn killing people with my team in ROTF! In all seriousness it will be missed. I kinda wish I got to play Fall of Cybertron more

 

F. They will be sourly missed, they represent an era when Transformers games were a hell of a lot better. Let's hope someone picks up the torch and blows us away like WFC and FOC did back in the day.
