Something just occured to me. Hasbro\'s been pretty tricky in getting its modern Targetmasters out there to go with previously released molds or concurrent molds. 

Maybe the indirect intention is for Trenchfoot from the Autobot Alphastrike Counterforce Multipack, to be paired with Crosshairs.

Trenchfoot is a new name and is nominally paired with G2 Swideswipe. But he has black legs and a red body, Pinpointer, the G1 targetmaster also had black legs and a red body. Where they diverge is that the gun section and arms on the Siege mold are black, whereas on Pinpointer, the arms were molded to the body as red, and the gun section was also red.

But the color choices are probably due to being molded together.

So maybe that\'s the intent? To put the two together? 

 

not perfect, but works a lot better then Hound as CDF Hot Shot!
(which is a brilliant headsculpt, but body shape and color breakout just doesn't work as the character for me.)

shame you have to purchase an expensive garbage figure to get the Targetmaster.

 

Stop reminding us that we missed out on Legends Misfire...

I would say that is the *direct* intent, just like including Schrute (the new name for Hairsplitter) in the Decepticon set was Hasbro’s way of giving us one of Spinister’s Targetmaster partners.

 

I dig this. He looks so much fun and interesting.

 

I like the shots that recreate the original Headmaster / Targetmaster commercial.

 

I just got this Pinpointer off BBTS for $15. No way I was going to pay for LG Windblade for the TM.

I don\'t know why but this makes me mad to look at. I can\'t remember the last time a figure evoked that kind of emotion. It\'s not like I have much a connection with this character (and when I do that is not the head I associate with it). Honestly it could be the head and the colors aren\'t my favorite combo. Not trying to spread hate just expelling my thought on the figure so they (thoughts) leave me alone. 

However i I wish he was a headmaster like the other target masters.

Can you find LG Windblade for $30 all in now? I can't. Ebay's prices from ridiculous $120 to $50. And now I would have to pay tax on top.

 

I\'m thinking I\'ll give him the sniper rifle from that Ironhide weapon set.

 

What does Top Gear has to do with the worst chug representation we ever got of Ratchet and the only chug representation we ever got of Crosshairs?

I've got nothing against Crosshairs, but this guy has "pegwarmer" written all over him

 

Jesus man, It's just a meme format. Also, what exactly is so bad about ratchet? Ironhide shares an altmode, and they have always shared a mold. So, if ironhide = good, then by extension so is ratchet.

 

So they are, and i cant' reallty figure why.

Were you away from the Fandom at the time it released? (start of last year?)
