They've got some cajones, that's for sure. I await clearer pics.

 

Interesting I guess. Hasbro/TT Soundwave + MMC tapes scratch most people itches. Maybe it'll be a triple changer and do the lamppost mode the best.

I'm so happy, this was on my list of things I wanted so much but never thought would happen. I never really liked the Takara one, but never thought Fans Toys would do this since people raved so much about the Takara one. Well now it's happening and it looks how I'd hoped. This is easily my most anticipated figure now. Great job Fans Toys!

 

I can see the point of a FT Blaster but Soundwave? Takara nailed it Tbh. I can't see a reason to buy it?

Someone change my mind.

 

Acoustic Wave is taking so long because FT has had difficulty limiting waist articulation and overcomplicating the transformation into a box to bring it up to today's standards.

 

Kinda hope they sell that Ravage alone & the tapes are the same sizes. Maybe the other tapes too, but I’ll need to see everything in color. But yeah, I don’t think I need a new Soundwave.

 

Well, had they released all those years ago. I would have bought it.

Now, I may only really have any interest in the cassettes. So, those better be sold as their own set.

 

I like the official Soundwave but this could still tempt me.

All I can say is better late than never

 

I love that this was coming soon in 2012...

Seems right on schedule for FansToys.

 

‘2019... coming soon’, oh Fans Toys, can I really hold you onto that? But for real, was a surprise for sure, though one I’m fine with. Guess this time they’re trying to beat TT to an updated MP Soundwave - since they were beaten out the first time.

Whether people think this was necessary or not is up to them, and for me I think it is. I might bite if TT don’t crank out a v2 first. Looks to have better proportions compared to MP-13 and better sculpting in terms of being toon accurate. Love the tapered look instead of the blockiness of MP-13.

 

This is about as necessary as MP44.

They're basically beating Takara to the punch before they make an official cartoon accurate Soundwave. Somehow I can't hate it.
