    Indeed. Being independent means Hasbro can make their own decisions without any other influencing factors.

    We don't see why not. There had been attempts before; prior to the ownership shift to Hasbro. Now they they do + the fact that they own their own animation division just makes things easier.

    I wouldn't be so sure; rumor has it Saban and/or Nick have wanted the show to make the jump from live-action to animation for budget reasons.

    In any case, yes, this is a great call on Hasbro's part, if an ambitious one. With Disney taking up more and more of the box office, it needs all the resistance it can get to make sure they don't dominate the release schedule.

    Also, rumor has it that Power Rangers media and merchandise were spotted at Boulder Media/Allspark Studios. They did the same when Cyberverse was in development. So, something is happening.

    Could this mean that the animated Cybertron film may be released some day ? Or that project is completely scrapped ?

    Hard to come up with another episode/miniseries in such desperate need of a do-over. It's an absolute train wreck. My guess is that we'll get Windblade Presents The Super Awesome Adventures of Windblade instead though.

    No more having to bow to bigwig Hollywood corporations who try to shove Gangsta's Paradise where it obviously doesn't belong? Yes, please! (And yes, I'm aware that they moved the Sonic movie to release on Valentine's Day next year. It was still weird of them to use that song.)

    If they're going that direction, then can it base its art direction on Gurihiru please?

    Because they have ownership of Super Sentai, which Power Rangers is based off of.

    Fair point, but they always say money is no object, so maybe someone up at Hasbro is pulling some strings as we speak...

    A friend of mine who did Internship at Boulder a while back mentioned they're doing a My Little Pony CGI film, this might be related to that?

    Becuase Toei is notorious for being really possessive about their IPs. They turned down Disney when they made the offer.

    Correct. It's the first movie coming out of the division. The team is still growing. They are just looking for a suitable office space.
