They actually show that you can use needle-nose pliers for one's that break that close to the balljoint, I had to do it for one of my own and I didn't have an issue.
Grabbed this from the tfsafari listing page.
"Instruction Translation:

(1) Stretch out the broken fingers;

(2) Remove the thumb VERTICALLY against the palm; remove other fingers HORIZONTALLY against the palm (in these directions the fossas are bigger, Needlenose pliers can be used);

(3) Fingers broken on the root can also be removed by needle-nose pliers.

(4) Insert the new thumb VERTICALLY against the palm;

(5) Insert other fingers HORIZONTALLY against the palm. New fingers can be installed one by one."

Battery type: CR927

Step 1: remove the tip of cannon, take out the LED light rail, then install the batteries with the side has characters facing the inside.
Step 2: if the LEDs won't light up, push the battery out a little bit, adjust the battery position in the socket.
Step 3 & 4, pretty much the same as step 1 & 2, it emphasizes if the LED light didn't work, move the position a little bit.
My experience: test with the cyber key first before install it back, it's much easier test outside to make sure it light up first.

Step 1: extend the arm
Step 2: remove these 2 screws
Step 3: unscrew this one
Step 4: remove this gear
Step 5. Glue this piece (the one showing with yellow arrow in above)
Step 6. just install them back.

But based on my pass experience, better lubricant for the gears before all assembled back. (I bought a bottle of Remote control car's lubricant oil from Aliexpress before, it should be safe for plastic, and works great. )

Really? It's basically the same Cybertron Optimus Prime with modern articulation, and slender look.

 

If it were any other company I might be excited for this.

 

Since Maketoys is going nowhere with theirs, this will be a fine alternative if it's ever released.

 

Will this take a long time to come out like their Jazz?

 

I dig this design because the long leg, short arm, slender body has a strong studio OX feeling.

 

My best guess is yes.  


How did their Jazz turn out btw?

 

What I read is that TR-01 took a long time because the project and design docs were sabotaged by a psycho.

I didn't get it myself, but I saw a few reviews. The answer seems to be not great, but not horrible. The car mode was pretty great, but the robot didn't tab together solidly, IIRC.

Anyway, yeah, I'm agreeing. This looks relatively decent and hopefully won't be to expensive, so it'll do in my Optimus collection. But I'd prefer Maketoys show some sign of life with theirs.

Now somebody get cracking of Fire Convoy, dammit!
