This is the google translation...Not sure how legible.
Lorenzo di Bonaventura, the full-length producer of the "Transformers" movie series, told The River about Japan.
    Rough Translation/Important Bullets?
    • If the author requests a live-action film adaptation planning "Beast Wars," said Lorenzo "Actually, Hasbro and I wish to really film the Beast Wars."

    • "But there is a concern that how many people know Beast Wars. This has been under debate and has not been decided yet, but in another movie (" Beast Wars "elements) you might have to suggest.

    • What seems to be difficult is that it is likely to cost the highest production costs ever, if you are going to make a copy of Beast Wars. So it might be tough to finish a single movie. If it is as an episode in a movie, it may work well.

    • Actually, about six months ago, the pitch (≒ presentation) of “Beast Wars” filmization project was held. I thought, "It looks good." But it was estimated that it would cost $ 450 million, so nobody could pay for it. It will be difficult to carry stories, as the universe will also be on the stage. "

Lorenzo suggested the possibility to China's information site China.org.cn in January 2019 about the "Beast Wars" live-shooting project, but for the first time in the world, the details were discussed. It seems that there are concerns about the popularity of "Beast Wars" and the cost of making a live-action film. "I'm doing risk assessment (to proceed with planning). I'm still risky at this point." lol probably not what he said...

By the way, Lorenzo said, "Who was your favorite character in" Beast Wars "?" When I answered, "I don't know the English name, but I liked " Chitas "and" Wasperter " , " "Cheetor" and "Waspinator". ! " Lorenzo's, has been waiting for!
I don't know who said what here...

    Now I've been happy lately
Thinking about the good things to come
And I believe it could mean
    Something good has begun

    Oh, I've been smiling lately
Dreaming about a world of fun
And I believe it could mean
    Someday it's going to come

'Cause out on the edge of darkness
All that's old is new again
Shut up and take my money
    Come take me home again

    The hype is getting louder
Climb on the Beast Train *clap clap clap*
    Oo-ah Ee-ah Oo-ah
    Come on now, Beast Train

Yes, Beast Train comin' for ya
Everyone jump upon the Beast Train *clap clap clap*
    Oo-ah Ee-ah Oo-ah
    Come on now, Beast Train

I think it would make the most sense to bring in Beast Wars characters in the current universe at some point.

My biggest question is why do they estimate a $450 million movie? Were they thinking of only making it robots and no humans in live action?

Either way, I love Beast Wars, but there's zero percent chance such a high budgeted BW film would get made. Many fans here may feel nostalgic for Beast Wars, but I seriously don't think it's as popular amongst the general public as the G1 cartoon to be as successful as the first four Bay films.

    Question: Why 450$ million dollars?
Why does Beast Wars, the movie that can be exclusively animated, need 450 million dollars to make? Where is the money going to?

Considering the current state at Paramount, $450 million is a pipe dream. There is no way they will invest that kind of money for a movie and no way another investor pump that much of money.

I wonder why they made such an impossible estimate?

Back on the topic. If this film was created it will most likely bomb, and will be one of the most devastating film bombs. It could easily have a 55-120$ budget. No need to overly complex it.

Putting aside my disinterest in Beast Wars for a moment...

That's fuckin' WHACK. There's no way in hell Paramount is going to put nearly half a million into a Transformers movie after Bumblebee. Not for a long, long time, if at all. I think after Bumblebee it's safe to assume that Paramount sees value in small production transformers films, especially if they make pretty good money like Bumblebee. I'm honestly not confident that big budget is the future of Transformers as a whole. Any movie, Beast Wars or not, is probably going to be budgeted similar to Bumblebee with a similar scale.

It's like they went to a movie project store and that was the price tag they saw. "Whoops, too pricey for us."
Seriously, YOU are the ones who decide how expensive of a movie it's going to be. Maybe DON'T decide to make it the most expensive thing ever?
