Paramount, you need to partner with Laika and let them do a stop motion movie set on Cybertron!

And that would definitely be awesome, that would probably be even better than Bumblebee if the right people were working on it.

Think about that... stop motion Transformations... would mean making actual Transformers... which means the toys could be replicas of the "stop-motion models".

I would love to see something like this. With the exception of the High Moon games, the war on Cybertron has never really been shown. I’d love to see them make a movie out of it or even a trilogy (beginning, middle, and end).

That would be pretty freakin' cool but they wouldn't necessarily have to make them really transform. They can use the same tricks in stop motion to fake Transformation that they do in cg.

But yeah, replicas for the toys would be awesome so let's do that

Yeah. The prime movie could just tell his story on cybertron after he splits from bee at the beginning of bumblebee.

    This makes 100% sense:

    1) Knight comes from a non-live-action background; he's comfortable with stop-motion and animation.

    2) Knight gives a sh*t about G1, to the point where he actually included it rather than "Bay-fixed it". :rolleyes2

    3) The G1 series has a powerful nostalgic hook that is incredibly lucrative and has thus far been untapped. If your movie is going to suck, but it's nostalgic? It can suck royal and still make bank. ;)

It doesn't even have to be stop motion. It could be CGI, animated, or anything really. I'd love see a Cybertron film in general. Maybe after a few years once Travis is done with his current Laika projects, bring him back for a full Cybertron film—the man seems like he has a lot of passion.

I actually don’t want a full Cybertron movie done in that style, I feel it works best as flash backs, and the thrill of Transformers on the big screen for me is seeing them interact with real things.

However as someone else said a full movie done with stop motion I’d be all for. That’s different enough to feel fresh.

Cool idea but maybe wait a couple movies. The franchise is digging itself out of a whole and I know CGI is expensive so this would most likely be high budget. Though he says animated which I\'ve seen some of those movie budgets under $100 million.  They can do a lot with how they make the movie, the story etc but like I said the franchise is digging it\'s self out of a hole thanks to Paramount nit listening to us sooner...no actull at all.

Honestly, with how Optimus Prime was surrounded by Decepticons between the last time we saw him in the Bumblebee movie to when we see him again at the end of the movie, I think this is almost a must just to explain how he escaped and made it to Earth. Especially if the next movie is supposed to be an Optimus Prime movie. It seems like a requirement of the story with the Bumblebee movie and the Optimus Prime movie taking place more or less simultaneously. Almost mirroring each other with the Bee movie taking place mostly on Earth and the Prime movie taking place mostly on Cybertron. I can see it basically being Escape From New York, but with robots.

We need to encourage Travis Knight to stick around!

There has been so much Bay hate for years now, so I think we should express more positive support towards the man who brought us such great stuff, without pandering to any one group

Please Travis Knight, stick around and keep making Transformers films in some capacity!

I mean... I'd rather they worry more about making a first ever GOOD ensemble Transformers movie next, and then they can play around with an idea like this. Sounds like Knight is the right guy for the job - finally - so... let him have at it. :)

Sounds cool to me! Given the issues inherent with live action, I would love if Knight directed a CG-cartoon film series. If the whole thing is CG and it doesn't have to strive for realism, they can have as much Transformer screen time as they want.
