Nice cover! I'd love to see that series color corrected at the very least. It was a great story (to me at least) but good God was it full of errors. Art errors really can't be fixed without huge changes, but the colors could..

That is a good cover. It has the familiar aesthetics and color schemes of the time but is also drawn well and appropriately proportioned. I'm guessing Guido Guidi?

Still, an odd release IMO. Why now, after all this time?

If it means Sakamoto and other Japanese fan artists start drawing Gort's hot lady friend, I'm all for it. ;)

It seems the cover art is by Guido Guidi. Can anyone confirm it? A fast translation of the original Tweet, he's mentioned and then he retweeted the image.

I\'m sorry, Japan.  You didn\'t deserve to have this happen to you.  :D

Is that the first ever official rendering of Firebolt's face? Pretty sure that we never saw the Targetmasters outside of their armour back in the day.

I wounder what Japanese fans think of the US take on Headmasters? I know there are US and UK fans that prefer the Japanese approach with the head being the bot and the body being a lifeless thing that they can control, but is there any one in Japan that is saying "I like that their heads a separate people..."?

Ah... My favorite artist doing what he's so really good at :D  I love this stuff. I hope Guido can post the clean artwork for this. There's a big white empty square covering up all of Abominus which is a shame. I want to see it all! :D :D

I preferred their approach too. Gives them the option to be smaller. Them being alive wasn't all that realistic. Sorry you can't be in robot mode, I really just need to sleep. I still enjoyed the series though.

Yeah, would love to see a clean cover - it’s great. Guido is a top notch modern tf artist.

But that series... hm, I dont remember it fondly.

Is this the first marvel transformers published in japan? If yes it would not be my first choice to start out with.

Guido is amazing at evoking the G1 Marvel feel without compromising the designs for the sake of cranking out a 22 page book every month. It's like the comic you saw in your head.

He's great at doing the G1 comicbook style... But he's also amazing at doing a straight up G1 cartoon style. He's great at both.

One volume with the first few issues had come out already, with a second volume on the way. This being the third volume kind of jumps ahead a bit, though, but the miniseries did stand alone fairly well.
