I'd like this better if they'd kept the lettering on the door wings.

Nice pics! But...the differences aren't enough to make me want to get another Prowl. I'm rather happy with the original :)  Not knocking this one at all. I just don't feel like I really need this one in my collection.

I like the translucent blue windows, but otherwise it seems so plain to me compared to the original MP Prowl.

Gawd I hate those painted blue windows. Another example of Japanese people taking 1980s animation colors literally. Clear glass becomes blue. Chrome bumpers become light grey. Gold becomes mustard. Shadows become paint apps. Its all so f**king stupid. I wish anime accurate decos would just stick to the material the 80s artists were trying to mimic rather than the colors they actually used.

He is awesome. So much more vibrant than the OG - which I also loved.

Thanks. Just placed an order with TFSource for this guy (and 3 of the Action Toys Machine Robo figures I didn’t have). Unfortunately, I had to cancel my preorder with BBTS, but I got tired of waiting for this figure.

I like the original, but even if I didn't like it as much, this one just doesn't change enough. Nice pics though!

Man, the original looks SO much better.

So many details left unpainted on the new one, and I much prefer the gunmetal/silver to the flat grey. Thanks for the comparisons!

I will say one thing that I think most would agree on. The defitnion between the bumper and car is a nice touch that makes it more interesting.

But the box is terrible. Very low gloss, looks like a KO. 20181012_235337.jpg

I\'m in the minority here but I like the blue windows WAY more than the grey ones. I\'m not sure which Prowl I prefer but the windows at least are easily my favorite change (and I do love that they\'re finally adding the cannons into every release and looks like they actually chromed them here.) Definitely not my first choice for a plus version nor a redeco of that mold but eh; I\'ll take it. Still hoping for Mexico Prowl some day though.

The colors they actually used is the whole point of a show accuracy repaint. I’m sure they know they are capable of much better but then it wouldn’t be show accurate, and that would be no good.

I’d like to see a Shattered Glass repaint of Masterpiece Prowl. Shattered Glass Prowl uses the colors of the Mexican release of the original 1984 toy, so it would just be a Masterpiece version of the Mexican color scheme, characterised as Shattered Glass Prowl.

"Show accurate" id debatable. Obviously they didnt have CGI in the 80s. But what if they did? Would they have still used allspark blue to represent clear glass? Would the dinobots gold be dumbed down to mustard if they had a way to do actual gold ? Everyone knows what they were trying to emulate. Honestly Id rather see the original G1 cartoon get CGI mastering instead of "update" toys getting 1980s coloring. It needs to be done already to put this screen accuracy crap to rest.

Another 100$ repaint that\'s barely a repaint. Why is this news? Title should say \"Hasbro/Takara discover warm water, proceed to market it to fans\". Does nobody see how stupid this is?
