That was a really good read. There are some neat bits of insight in there. It sounds like they were already questioning whether or not future movies would happen while they were making Bumblebee.

I'm really curious how an Optimus movie would work. I agree that he's a difficult character to make a movie about because he's so strong and confident. The John Wayne comparison makes me thing they might do a Western-style movie.

 

Do we really need an Optimus Prime movie? He is the main character of all the movies anyway

 

Just kill this terrible film franchise already. Transformers is already a laughing stock of a giant robot franchise at this point.

Couple of notes:

Did I read that right about visiting Cybertron for a bit? Maybe that’s where we could briefly see Optimus.

So definitely 3 Decepticons - “Starscream,” Barricade, and the red car.

Possibility of a Bee sequel unfortunately means they probably won’t have Bee go to Bolivia’s like I was hoping.

Overall a very good read.

Also, I beg of you, Travis Knight, please forget the WWII scene in the last film happened. I would much rather this be Bumblebee’s first mission on Earth.

 

Overhype. I'm tired of seeing everything being perceived to being so great. Have low expectations, don't expect this to be movie of the year, but this is something you want to watch. We all want to see this movie succeed, but it's our part to see everything to fruition. If the trailer is perceived as being bad, or at least there's not a lot of marketing value, then there's more of a chance that this will set people's expectations to be low, and if the movie is really good, then more people will begin to watch it because it's so good, thus making more pressure and motivation to make the next movie. Just don't check the news. Watch the damn movie. You know it's coming out. Howhas hyped helped us at all?
